It’s one thing to chip a tooth while playing football. Just ask the front right incisor on my lower jaw. However, it’s an entirely different thing to be a professional NFL football player, and chip your tooth while celebrating a preseason score.
Video: Red Bryant chips his tooth celebrating
Red Bryant, a defensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, decided to celebrate with his teammates after they scored a safety against the Oakland Raiders in Thursday night’s final preseason game for both teams. Bryant, elated with the two points his teammates had just put on the board, chose to head-butt one of his fellow defenders in jubilation. His teammate was wearing a helmet. Bryant was not. As a result, Bryant ended up chipping one of his front teeth celebrating an absolutely meaningless play. Well done, sir.
