TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks
According to Mike Sando of ESPN.com, the Seattle Seahawks extended general manager John Schneider’s contract through the 2016 season. Coach Pete Carroll’s five-year deal runs through the 2014 season. GM John Schneider initially signed a three-year deal through 2012. Schneider and the Seahawks quietly extended his contract through 2016. The deal has been done for more than a year, without fanfare. Safety Earl Thomas says the Seahawks ‘haven’t forgotten playoff loss’

The Seattle Seahawks were cruising towards the Super Bowl when a lapse in coverage allowed the Atlanta Falcons within field goal range and a walk off win. Safety Earl Thomas was one of the players in the secondary and he still feels the sting of letting all slip away. The team has a good mix of young talent and Thomas is a solid example. He's one of the up and coming safeties...

Golden Tate: I'd like to give Harbaugh the 'Sean Lee treatment'

Another Seattle Seahawks player is bashing San Francisco 49ers head Jim Harbaugh for his candid remarks about Seattle's PED issue, who he called so many words, cheaters. Wide receiver Golden Tate is following CB Brandon Browner's cue by taking the lead in sticking it to the 49ers coach. “Well, I’d be on offense trying to score a touchdown on him. Defensively, that’s...

The Seahawks and the NFL have an Adderall problem

Adderall In my last post I made some bold comments on PEDs and how to handle the players that abuse them. I proposed a one year ban for a player who violates the NFL’s banned substance policy and more frequent dope tests following the ban, and a lifetime ban from the NFL for the second offense. I feel so strongly about this issue because players who abuse various anabolic agents...

Seahawks extend GM John Schneider through 2016

According to Mike Sando of ESPN.com, the Seattle Seahawks have extended general manager John Schneider’s contract through the 2016 season. Sando also reports the extension was done a year ago, but didn’t warrant the attention because it was before the Seahawks emergence. The tandem of coach Pete Carroll and Schneider has done an excellent job through their first three years...

Seattle Seahawks Playing It Loose At Tight End

If there's ever going to be a time when the Seahawks' tight end group can compare favorably to other NFL tight end squads, this might be the time.   As weak as this position group might be, at least Seattle's tight ends are not under suspicion for, let's say, involvement in a murder, shooting someone in the face and other possible gang-related activities...

Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate said if he ever lined up against Jim Harbaugh he would do to him what he did to Sean Lee. Here's a video if you don't get the reference.
