Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 14 predictions
The Seahawks are back at home this week where they have been much better than on the road so far this season – scary if you are an Arizona Cardinals fan!
Seattle is coming on – they occupy an NFC Wild Card spot and have been improving each and every week. It is past time to give Russell Wilson his due – I have projected him to have average games and he has proved me wrong week in and week out.
He should be good this weekend against and unraveling Cardinals team along with his other position players.
So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week – let’s take a look.
Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 14:
QB Russell Wilson
30 yards rushing, 225 yards passing, 2 TDs
Wilson had just 186 yards passing in the first meeting this season but he is twice the QB than he was in the first game of the season. He is getting it done with his arm and his legs!
Finally Wilson has an easy matchup – expect him to produce this week with above average numbers. He has emerged as a fringe Fantasy start – no shame in using Mr. Wilson!

RB Marshawn Lynch
120 yards rushing, 1 TD, 1 catch 10 yards
The last two running backs against Arizona have produced – 104 yards (Shonn Greene) and 139 yards (Steven Jackson) respectively. Needless to say, Lynch is head and shoulders above both of those two. Lynch is a top 5 Fantasy start this week and will almost certainly be over 100 yards with a score. He’s a no-brainer start for your Fantasy squad this week.
WR Sidney Rice
4 catches, 70 yards, 1 TD
Rice has scored in five of six games and I like that to continue this week. Although you can’t expect 100+ yards, 60-80 yards and a score is a very realistic projection. Rice is the best, most consistent pass catcher the Hawks have and he definitely has the trust of Russell Wilson. Rice is a fringe Fantasy start this week – worthy of WR3/4 status.
WR Golden Tate
4 catches, 50 yards, 1 TD
Tate has been a decent scoring threat but his yardage numbers are nothing to write home about. While I like him to score again this week, expect moderate yardage numbers again. As always, Tate is a nice player but too risky from a Fantasy perspective.
TE Zach Miller
2 Catches, 25 yards
With Anthony McCoy stealing some of Miller’s thunder it is hard to see him having a huge game. 2-3 catches for 20-30 yards is about all we can expect.
PK Steven Hauschka
1 FG 3 XP
D/ST
300 yards, 3 sacks, 2 Int., 1 FF
The Seahawks have to be salivating at the prospect of facing an offense that is last in the NFL in scoring, has the second worst running game, and the 27th ranked passing game.
Brandon Browner has been suspended which could be a big deal against anyone but the woeful Cardinals who will start John Skelton at Quarterback again.
Seattle is a top 5 defensive unit this week – start them and enjoy the points!

Tough sledding ahead for Pete Carroll and the Seahawks after suspensions
Pete Carroll knows it’s going to be tough going forward in a passing league and losing two cornerbacks for the rest of the regular season. Brandon Browner gave up his futile fight so he could get on with his punishment. Though it’s not official, Richard Sherman should suffer the same fate. Losing half of your secondary is a devastating blow in a playoff run and now the Seahawks...
Golden Tate on his late fourth quarter touchdown against Chicago: “I wanted it so bad”
The former Notre Dame star Golden Tate struggled early in his career but has turned on the Jets recently. Along with the explosion on the scene called Russell Wilson, Tate is making his presence known and making crunch time plays that have the Seahawks at 7-5.
His late game touchdown helped beat the Chicago Bears and sent the Seahawks soaring. In 2012, Tate has 35 catches for 486...
Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was
Christmas came early
No, that wasn’t a typo in the paper, or some sort of glitch on your TV screen Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks actually won a game on the road against a good Bears team.
It all seemed to fall into place after that non-call when Doug Baldwin pushed off to make the catch to extend the drive in overtime.
Just like the Packers game, I don’t care if...

Seahawks Brandon Browner Drops His Appeal
Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times is reporting that Seahawks defensive back Brandon Browner has dropped his appeal and will server a four-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy.
“Browner’s apparent decision to drop his appeal reflects the difficulty in fighting a positive test for a banned substance,” writes O’Neil. “A player is considered responsible...

Seahawks' Browner returns from ban
Brandon Browner didn't mind being forced to sit out the final four games of the regular season due to suspension because it was fun watching his Seattle Seahawks continue to roll toward the postseason.

The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that they were releasing receiver, Braylon Edwards via an injury distinction. The release comes on the heels of comments Braylon made ripping the Jets franchise and supporting QB Mark Sanchez. The unique rivalry between the Seahawks and Cardinals
A Developing Rivalry
It’s amazing to me how rivalries come and go in the NFC West. Back in 2004 when the Seattle Seahawks finally rose to the top of the NFC West, there was no team more hated in Seattle than the St. Louis Rams. Today’s Seahawks fans look past a game with the Rams without a second thought.
In 2011 and 2012 most people will tell you that the biggest NFC West rival...
