Seahawks Fantasy Start + Sit vs. Cardinals For many of you Week 16 represents Championship Week in the world of Fantasy – crunch time for you and your Fantasy squad. The Seahawks have a few intriguing starting options this week as they return home to take on the Arizona Cardinals. The only thing that has stopped some of the Hawks from posting elite Fantasy numbers at home this year is the fact that they have been removed from games early after racking up huge leads. While I can`t see that happening this week, there is a chance that Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and company could be on the sidelines during the fourth quarter! Let`s break it all down. QB Russell Wilson 30 rushing yards, 250 passing yards, 2 TDs Ripped the Cardinals for 235 yards and 3 TDs in the first meeting of the season and that was in Phoenix. This week he has a chance to equal or better those numbers. He`s only gone for 300 + yards twice this year so don`t expect monster yardage numbers but multiple scores is almost assured. Russell Wilson is not quite an elite option this week but he is a fine option – an OK fallback just in case you drafted Eli Manning as your QB1! RB Marshawn Lynch 90 rush yards, 1 TD, 3 catches 25 – yards It`s hard to believe that Marshawn Lynch has only three 100+ yard games this season but he has scored 13 times. I expect more of the same Sunday – yardage numbers just south of 100 and a score. He had 91 yards and a score in the first meeting – more of the same should come this week. Lynch`s value has increased recently because of his inclusion in the passing game. Lynch`s combined yards will surely be over 100 making him an automatic start in your Fantasy Finale as per usual. WR Doug Baldwin 5 catches, 70 yards, 1 TD Doug Baldwin has become the go-to-guy with Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice out of the lineup and he has really embraced the role. In the last six games he has averaged around 70 yards and he has scored four times. I project him to finish right around those numbers with upside. Baldwin is an intriguing WR3 this week with the potential to post WR2 numbers although he will likely be matched up against Patrick Peterson. Doug Baldwin has become the go-to-guy with Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice out WR Golden Tate 4 catches 60 yards I like Golden Tate to have a decent game opposite Doug Baldwin this week although he is far too inconsistent to trust in the world of Fantasy. He did have four catches for 77 yards in the first meeting but has been in the 20-40 yard territory far too often in order to gain my trust. TE Zach Miller 4 catches, 35 yards, 1 TD Zach Miller has just one catch in each of his last two games – obviously not a Fantasy start for playoff week. That said I like him to post his usual 25-40 yards and score this week. Miller had five catches, 40 yards and a TD in the first meeting this season. PK Steven Hauschka 1 FG 4 XP DEFENSE / SPECIAL TEAMS 10 points, 350 yards, 3 sacks, 2 INTs. With the aid of the 12th man, Seattle`s defense once again becomes a top 3 Fantasy start this week. Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd are banged up – the only really good parts of the Cards offense. The Hawks held Drew Brees to 147 yards passing in their last game – nuff said! Start the Hawks defense with utmost confidence and enjoy the points they provide. Good luck this week in your Fantasy playoffs! CHECK OUT THE SEAHAWKS CLUBHOUSE AT THE NORTHWEST SPORTS BEAT!
