According to Eric D. Williams of the The Bellingham Herald, six players on the Seattle Seahawks have tested positive for performance enhancing drugs since 2011.  The latest one is defensive end Bruce Irvin, who tested positive for Adderall. Other Seahawks players that have failed performance enhancing drug tests are Brandon Browner, Winston Guy, John Moffitt, Allen Barbre and Richard Sherman.  Yet Sherman appealed his suspension and it ended up being overturned.  I personally believe Sherman wasn’t clean. He’s fortunate that someone supposedly slipped when they handled his sample.  Players around the NFL have spoken out anonymously and have made it clear that the majority of players are taking Adderall. This is a widespread issue around the NFL, but the Seahawks have their own issues to work out within their organization.       Need NFL Tickets? Suspensions may get Seahawks fined

Since 2010, no other NFL team has had more players suspended for PED use than the Seahawks, and now they could be hit with fines from the NFL as well.

The Seahawks took a huge step forward last season. Can they keep enough players active to continue moving forward? NFL Predictions 1.0

The Seahawks surprised a lot of people last season with their play and the play of QB Russell Wilson.  There is a great rivalry born with the 49ers and I cannot wait to see them play this season.  The Seahawks wont sneak up on anyone this year and they need to be prepared for every opponents best shot. They need to get this banned substance situation cleared up.  Are they being...

Seahawks quarterback arrested on suspicion of DUI

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Josh Portis was pulled over on May 5 for speeding. It was then that a Washington State Patrol officer noticied “a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle” and that the driver “had watery bloodshoot eyes.” Portis, 25, later submitted to two breathalyzers and his blood alcohol concentration readings were recorded as 0.092 and 0.078. The...

According to The Seattle Times, Seahawks back up quarterback Josh Portis was arrested for suspicion of DUI back on May 5th and will be arraigned on May 28th. Portis was pulled over at 9:26 p.m. on May 5 after he was observed driving 80 miles an hour in a 60-mile-an-hour zone exiting the Mount Baker Tunnel on eastbound I-90 in a 2008 Range Rover.   A report from the Washington...

Cliff Avril is out with a plantar fascia issue in his foot

According to the News Tribune, Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril didn’t participate in today’s organized team activity because of a plantar fascia issue in his foot. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says Avril injured his foot four weeks and was asked if it’s serious. “Well, it hurts,” joked Carroll. “You could ask him about it. The plantar fascia thing is a real uncomfortable...

Seattle reaches deal with 2nd round pick Michael

Second-round pick Christine Michael and the Seattle Seahawks have reach agreement on a multi-year contract just as organized team activities begin. Michael, the Seahawks top pick in April's draft out of Texas A&M, signed with the club on Monday. Terms of his contract were not released. The Seahawks also re-signed tight end Darren Fells, who they originally signed on March...

Seattle Seahawks in Danger of Being Penalized for Having Too Many Bad Boys

Pete Carroll has done a heck of a job crafting the Seattle Seahawks into a contender. Marshawn Lynch is making Buffalo with they hadn't given up on him so easy. Russell Wilson is making Carroll look like a genius for taking him in the third round. That defense--what can you say about those hard-hitting ball hawks that would do them justice? However, he may have another challenge...

The Seahawks Re-Sign TE Darren Fells

Brother of Daniel, Darren Fells, has been re-signed by the Seahawks after getting released 12 days ago. He’s got great size at 6-7 and 280 lbs, and his basketball background is intriguing. After what Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham have done, the former basketball player tag will not be going away anytime soon.   The post The Seahawks Re-Sign TE Darren Fells appeared first on...

Don’t Drink And Drive, Don’t Drink And Fry, Josh Portis.

Via Christmas Ape, still on vacation.  Seattle PI reports Seahawks backup quarterback Josh Portis was arrested by Washington State Patrol for suspicion of drinking while under the influence back on Cinco de Mayo and will be arraigned next week in Redmond Courthouse. The trooper noted there was “a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle” and Portis had “watery...

Seahawks Quarterback Josh Portis Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

It hasn’t been a good week for the Seahawks. On Friday, Bruce Irvin was suspended four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. On Monday, news came out that backup quarterback Josh Portis was arrested on suspicion of a DUI on May 5 in Seattle. Portis was pulled over on Cinco de Mayo for driving 80 mph in a 60 mph zone, according to the Seattle Times...

Bruce Irvin gets sacked by the NFL

Irvin suspended It is no secret that Bruce Irvin and I don’t have the best relationship.  I am not exactly sure what I did to piss him off, but it must have been something.  He’s not the first player, nor will he be the last, that I haven’t seen eye to eye with. Still, I do my best to evaluate those players the same as I would a player who I like, or one that I have never...

Seahawks’ Bruce Irvin suspended for PED violation

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances, the team announced yesterday. As a result, Irvin – the 15th overall pick in last year’s draft – will not be able to practice with the team from the start of the regular season through Monday, Sept. 30. Irvin will still...
