NFL Injury Report:
The Seattle Seahawks will yet again be without wide receiver Percy Harvin as he has officially been ruled out by head coach Pete Carroll, according to their official web site. Fans were hopeful that the dynamic receiver would be available this week after hearing that Sidney Rice would be lost for the season with a torn ACL. It appears that much of the workload will rest on Golden Tate’s shoulders this weekend against Tampa Bay. Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse will likely round out the starting crew.
Harvin is apparently very close to returning to the field but with a 7-1 record at the halfway point, Seattle will not rush him back prematurely. Naturally, fans in Seattle are worrying about the continued progress of Russell Wilson and their passing game with Rice injured against the Rams last week and Harvin yet to see the field in Seahawks blue. However, the coaching staff has a great deal of faith in their young receivers, particularly former second-round draft pick Golden Tate. Former Stanford receiver Doug Baldwin is also a strong candidate for an expanding role with the team.
Here is the Seattle Seahawks official practice participation report and game statuses for Sunday according to their official web site:

The Seattle Seahawks officially downgraded wide receiver Percy Harvin to OUT against the Tampa Bay Bucs this weekend, according to NFL.com’s Dan Hanzus. This coming after the Seahawks playmaker experienced what is being referred to as a “flare-up” with his torn labrum last Thursday during practice. Harvin had returned to limited practice participation in anticipation for his...
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the media that Percy Harvin underwent another MRI to make sure he hasn’t suffered any setbacks.
“Yeah the doctors have looked at him. We did another MRI to make sure we were seeing everything right,” Carroll said,. ” There were no complications and all of that so we’re just bringing him back.”

Try saying that three times fast, eh?… Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate, of last season’s “Fail Mary” fame, got slapped with a $7,875 fine for his taunting of Rams defensive backs Rodney McLeod and Janoris Jenkins as he capped off an 80-yard catch and run TD last Monday night, reports the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Despite the belief that Percy Harvin might be activated for the Seattle Seahawks this week as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Pete Carroll stated yesterday that he will not be activated this week. Harvin has spent the last nine weeks on the Physically Unable to Perform list after undergoing surgery on his hip. He was practiced with the team in recent weeks and reportedly...

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch may have more of a load to carry come this Spring. Our source tells us the Beast Mode back has a baby on the way with girlfriend Charmaine Glock. Congrats assuming he’s aware she’s pregnant. Boy or Girl, they have to name it Skittles.

Seattle wideout Percy Harvin won't be activated for Week 9. SOURCE: Lindsay Jones, USA TodayFantasy Spin:He's still recovering from offseason hip surgery. Harvin's timetable for a return seems to get murkier by the day. The Seahawks could really use him, especially now that Sidney Rice is done for the year with a torn ACL.
Seahawks Start ‘em & Sit ‘em
Well, Monday night’s effort was a bit of a disaster in Fantasy terms for the Seattle Seahawks but as all good teams do, they found a way to win the game. 7-1 sure sounds good doesn’t it?
This week they are back at home – finally to take on a reeling Tampa Bay team that just may be the worst in the game right now. The one strong area on...
That highly regarded secondary Richard Sherman likes to brag about, is likely to get broken up in the coming months according to Jason La Canfora.
La Canfora is reporting that the Seahawks are likely to allow cornerback Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond to walk in free agency.
The team will obviously need to extend Russell Okung, and star quarterback Russell Wilson.
The Seahawks have...
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks are very likely to lose both CBs Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond during free agency this offseason.
According to La Canfora, both Browner and Thurmond are “coveted” by several NFL teams that have pair of cornerbacks towards the top of their free agent rankings.
Having built perhaps the best secondary in the...
When the Seattle Seahawks take the field this upcoming Sunday against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they will have to do so without wide receivers Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice. We know that they will still be with starters Golden Tate and Zach Miller, but it is my belief that Jermaine Kearse will be the man to fill Rice’s shoes. Tate has been Russell Wilson’s number one target...
Seahawks keys to success
Will the Seahawks uncover the pirate’s chest that contains their 8th W. Or will the offensive line leak like a sieve leaving Russell Wilson sinking under the depths of the Buccaneer pass rush while watching the possibility of 8-1 drift at sea like a ghost ship into a fog bank?
On the surface what we see is a 7-1 home team facing an 0-7 away team. ...
Seattle covering this week’s line of 14.5 would appear to depend on almost one thing; their own line, the one that’s supposed to protect Russell Wilson. Why not begin this with a barb towards what was already a major concern before Monday night. What transpired in St. Louis has been raked over throughout the week and doesn’t need revisiting from me. We all know the current problem...
