NFL Injury Report:
The Seattle Seahawks are expecting to have wide receiver
Sidney Rice and safety Kam Chancellor today when they take on the Buffalo
Bills, but they have already ruled out cornerback Marcus Trufant.
Rice missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to a foot
injury, but he was able to return at full capacity Friday. He’s been
quarterback Russell Wilson’s top target this season, catching 45 passes for 658
yards and seven touchdowns.
Chancellor (groin) and defensive end Red Bryant (foot) also
missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to injury. Both players were able to
return to practice at full capacity Friday and are also expected to suit up
against the Bills, as is running back Marshawn Lynch, who was limited
throughout the week due to back and foot injuries.
Trufant wasn’t able to practice all week due to his
hamstring injury. He and fellow cornerback Walter Thurmond, who’s also been
hampered by a hamstring injury, are ruled out for today’s game.

Pete Carroll is becoming quite a mean coach with nice talk after the game. However, during the game he’s been ruthless as his Seahawks concluded their 2nd straight 50+ point performance in a row.
We see nothing wrong with running plays that a team wants to practice, and if the other team takes exception, then stop the play.
The Seahawks are humming to a sweet tune these days...
Another week, another debate about the inherent rightness of a team running up the score on an opponent. It’s a tedious argument that will never go away because the two common reactions to the idea of running up the score are “THAT’S DISRESPECT!” and “WELL, IF YOU DON’T WANT ‘EM TO RUN UP THE SCORE, YOU GOTTA STOP ‘EM!” Both of which are right and both of which...
Russell Wilson completed 14-of-23 passes for 205 yards with one touchdown and added nine carries for 92 yards and three touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 50-17 Week 15 win over the Bills. Wilson came into this game with zero touchdowns rushing all season. That was a fluke, and so was this hat trick. Two of his rushing scores came on zone reads during which the Bills failed to cover the...
The Seahawks and 49ers impressed on the road, setting up a monster NFC West clash in Week 16. Seattle became the first team in 62 years to score 50+ in consecutive weeks, while San Francisco became the first team in 10 years to win in Foxboro in December.
Russell Wilson has quietly been keeping up with both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III all season with his strong play. On a day when Luck’s Colts lost and Griffin sat out with an injury, Wilson may jump both players as the new leader for the offensive rookie of the year award.
Wilson has four touchdowns through the first half, with one coming through the air and three on the...
A little over a month ago, the Seattle Seahawks had seemingly plateaued and appeared ready for a sharp and sudden plummet back to reality, and presumably the NFC West cellar. But, oh, how things have changed.
Coming off a pair of tough losses heading into the second half of the season, Seattle sat with a middling 4-4 record and a treacherous road ahead of them. The same team that...
“Big Gulps, huh? Welp, see ya later.” – Lloyd Christmas
It’s mid-December and it’s that time where Buffalo will start evaluating their younger talent as they have for the last decade plus.
I’m keeping it short and sweet this week as the Bills performance does not warrant much commentary. As for the featured image? That’s Psy doing his best Ryan Fitzpatrick impression...
For two weeks in a row now, the Seahawks have got their offense moving the ball better than any team in the NFL. They’ve scored 50 points in each of their Week 14 and 15 wins and they haven’t let up late in the game. On Sunday, they wouldn’t even take their foot off the pedal on special teams.
Seattle attempted a fake punt with 12:11 remaining in the game while they were up...
Seahawks come out swinging
Earlier in the week I wrote a piece about why the upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills concerned me. The Seahawks wasted no time relieving me of my concerns as they scored on their first 5 possession, before finally punting the ball on their 6th. By that time the Seahawks offense had already scored 31-points.
In-fact, the Seahawks became just the...
Seattle Seahawks (8-5) at Buffalo Bills (5-8)
The Seahawks have the biggest home/road disparity over the last few years. They are 23-43 ATS on the road and 46-20 ATS at home since 2005. This year, they are a perfect 6-0 ATS at home, including 3-0 SU as home dogs, but on the road they are 3-4 ATS. That might not sound bad, until we take a closer look. Two of those covers were in their...
WR Deon Butler was signed to the roster to fill Charly Martin's role as the fifth wide receiver on the active roster, but he's been listed as inactive for the game. And as expected, Walter Thurmond has joined Marcus Trufant as an injury scratch on the sideline along with CB DeShawn Shead. The four cornerbacks who will be active for the game are Richard Sherman, Jeremy...
Fake punts are typically reserved for critical do-or-die situations, but for the Seattle Seahawks, they're business as usual. Up by 30 points over the Buffalo Bills early in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks opted to run a fake punt, which went for 29 yards. Seattle got a field goal out of the drive in closing out a 50-17 win. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after the game that...
TORONTO -- Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another as the red-hot Seattle Seahawks pummeled the hapless Buffalo Bills 50-17 at the Rogers Centre on Sunday. The explosive performance by the former Wisconsin star enabled the Seahawks (9-5) to win for fifth time in six games. The Bills (5-9) were officially eliminated from playoff contention...
Another blow out
I don’t know who the hell kidnapped my beloved Seahawks and replaced them with football players who can actually put up mass amounts of points, but I love them dearly!
Again, the Seattle Seahawks put up 50 plus points against a lesser opponent this week.
Their two game point total is now 108, which ties the New England Patriots, from earlier this year, as the third...
