Pro Sports Daily:
The Seattle Seahawks signed running back Marshawn Lynch to a multi-year contract Sunday.
The team did not disclose terms of the deal, but Jay Glazer reported it was for four years and $31 million, including $17 million guaranteed."We are excited to keep Marshawn as part of what we are building," Seattle general manager John Schneider said in a statement. "This is what we were hoping for when we acquired him."
The 25-year-old Lynch is coming off a breakout season, rushing for more than 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. After failing to rush for more than 100 yards in the first seven games, Lynch hit the plateau six times over the final nine weeks.
A former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, Lynch set a Seattle franchise record by scoring in 11 consecutive games.
It was the third 1,000-yard season of his career, but the first one since his second season with the Bills in 2008.
