Longtime Seattle LB charged I feel like it was only last year when we were talking about Leroy Hill being arrested—of course, that was only 11 months ago. I don’t know how many times I have written about his off-the-field troubles, but I am getting tired of writing about it. I am getting tired of them period.  Seriously, Leroy Hill is starting to make former Seahawks tight end, and Hill’s former teammate, Jeremy Stevens look like a choir boy. A little over four years ago Leroy’s legal troubles began when he was arrested by police officers in Atlanta, Ga.  Hill was found passed out behind the wheel of his car at an intersection.  After initially pleading not guilty, Leroy ended up pleading guilty to the charge of possession of marijuana. Even if he does play in the NFL again, he will likely be facing a lengthy suspension. He received 12 month probation, outpatient alcohol and drug counseling and 30 hours of community service. The Seahawks rewarded him with a six-year, $38 million dollar contract with $15.5 million guaranteed. Less than two weeks after his guilty plea, Hill was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.  That was followed by the disappearance of the complainant in that case. Hill was investigated for witness tampering, but no charges followed the investigation. Last February, Hill found himself back in an Atlanta jail when he was arrested following a search of his home.  Those charges were dropped in March. That leads us to January 30, 2013. According to the King County Jail registry, Leroy Hill Jr. was booked into Seattle Correction facility at 12:07 A.M. Hill has been booked on two charges: RCW/ORD 1098 for Unlawful Imprisonment Individual Domestic Violence RCW/ORD 1399  for Assault Individual Bail denied on both charges.  That doesn’t mean he will not be granted bail further down the road, but for now, he remains behind bars. Last season, Leroy played under a one-year contract after the Seahawks were unable to find a suitable replacement.  A few days ago I wrote that Seattle would finally move on from the injury prone, legally troubled linebacker. Hill just strengthened my argument. Even if he does play in the NFL again, he will likely be facing a lengthy suspension.
