According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, the Seattle Seahawks would love to trade 12th overall pick in this year’s draft, so they can move down and take Alabama linebacker Donta Hightower.
If the Seahawks can’t move down, they’ll likely take Alabama safety Mark Barron and then move safety Kam Chancellor to outside linebacker.
Chancellor has the frame to move to linebacker since he’s 6’3″ 232 pounds, but he’s also proven that he’s a very good safety after racking up 97 tackles, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles and 4 interceptions in 2011.
BEST OF MAXIM
The Seattle Seahawks could be in the market for a veteran linebacker since David Hawthorne signed with the Saints yesterday. London Fletcher is still on the market and would be a great fit for the Seahawks.
The current Seahawks linebackers consists of three 2nd year players in Michael Morgan, K.J Wright and Malcom Smith. All three players are talented, but very young and inexperienced...
Whenever I need the skinny on the Seahawks I go to Chris Sullivan. Pure and simple, he is THE guy for Seahawks knowledge. Put less simply, he's more aware of the inner workings of that organization than Gregg Williams is aware of how to get away with an illegal and morally corrupt motivation scheme. Make sure you check him out on twitter, he's a valuable resource. So naturally...
Making the switch from Reebok to Nike, the NFL released all 32 teams’ new Nike uniforms on Tuesday. Nike, who became famous for the eccentric uniforms they produced for the Oregon Ducks every game, only made major changes to the Seattle Seahawks jersey.
Nike premiered their new uniforms in a football-themed fashion show at a film studio in Brooklyn. The models wore NFL gear from...
On Tuesday April 3rd the Seattle Seahawks unveiled their new Nike uniforms to the public. The new uniforms focus on the colors dark blue, gray, and neon green. This is a stark contrast to their 2011 uniforms consisting of metallic blue, white, and neon green. Insert sarcastic remark here.
For some reason, fans are always opposed to new uniforms. I remember hearing for a good year...
The NFL and Nike invited fans from all over the globe to New York City yesterday to unveil the league’s brand new uniforms, as they were presented by one player from each team. As we know, the league’s contract with Reebok expired recently – and not without some awkwardness – and Nike was ready to usher NFL players into a new era of slightly different alterations and aerodynamic...
According to Brady Henderson of 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle, the Seahawks have signed guard Deuce Lutui and linebacker Barrett Ruud to one-year deals. Both players could end up being potential starters right away.
The Seahawks also agreed to terms with cornerback/special teamer Roy Lewis.
Ruud is a nice addition, since the Seahawks just lost linebacker David Hawthorne via free agency...
Can you see Matt Flynn in the running for MVP in the up coming season? The possibility of him putting up solid numbers is there with him going to the Seattle Seahawks this offseason. Flynn has the offensive weapons including running back Marshawn Lynch and a good supporting defense to keep him in the game. So

According to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., the Seattle Seahawks will likely draft a pair of linebackers within the first few rounds of this year’s NFL Draft.
The Seahawks have lost three starters over the past year, when they released Lofa Tatupu in 2011, traded Aaron Curry during this past season and recently lost David Hawthorne in free agency.
Right now we do know they’d love...
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with linebacker Barrett Ruud, cornerback Roy Lewis and guard Deuce Lutui on one-year deals.
Ruud adds a veteran presence to the Seahawks' young linebacker corps and replaces David Hawthorne, who signed with New Orleans on Tuesday.
Ruud played nine games for the Tennessee Titans last season before being placed on injured reserve with...

Even though the 2012 NFL Free Agency frenzy practically pulled to a screeching halt a while ago, that hasn’t stopped several teams from searching for some top talent still left on the open market.
The Seattle Seahawks continued to make moves Friday afternoon, acquiring cornerback Roy Lewis, guard Deuce Lutui and linebacker Barrett Ruud.
On Tuesday, the first batch of NFL uniforms created by Nike was revealed. Most of the league maintained the look of their uniforms from the Reebok era but the Seattle Seahawks decided to allow Nike to put their uniforms through a complete redesign. Not only did the redesign change the style of the uniforms that the Seahawks will be wearing this season but the colors as well. The...
Another Seattle Seahawks linebacker is heading to the Big Easy. David Hawthorne agreed to join the New Orleans Saints with a 5 year deal. He lead the Seahawks in tackles the last 3 seasons. He will be joining ex-Seahawk Lofa Tatupu in New Orleans.
With another linebacker definitely out of the picture now and not much left in free agency, the Seahawks are going to have...
Tuesday in New York, Nike and the NFL debuted new uniforms for all 32 of the teams. From an aesthetic stand point, the Nike Elite 51 uniforms aren’t much different in the design save, the Seattle Seahawks. The major difference is in the performance. Nike is a brand that spends an inordinate amount of time [...]

If the team is able to make the move, according to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net and SI.com, the main objective would be to acquire additional picks and pick up linebacker Dont’a Hightower.
That’s a logical scenario considering the recent...
