Seahawks come out swinging Earlier in the week I wrote a piece about why the upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills concerned me.  The Seahawks wasted no time relieving me of my concerns as they scored on their first 5 possession, before finally punting the ball on their 6th.  By that time the Seahawks offense had already scored 31-points. In-fact, the Seahawks became just the third team in NFL history to score 50 points or more in consecutive games, the first team since 1950. That wasn’t the only thing that happened on Sunday that had historical significance, Russell Wilson became the first quarterback in franchise history to rush for three touchdowns in a single game.  Due in large part to the “Read Option” offense. I am not a fan of running the “Read Option” offense in the National Football League.  It is a gimmick, and gimmicks never work out over the long term.
