The Seattle Seahawks placed linebacker Matt McCoy on injured reserve with a knee injury.
The team also signed linebacker David Vobora to replace him on the roster.
McCoy was injured in Sunday's 30-28 loss to Atlanta when teammate Aaron Curry ran into his leg while covering a punt. Seattle did not initially think the injury was serious enough to end McCoy's season, but that changed Tuesday.
Vobora spent training camp with the Seahawks before being cut prior to the regular season. He played the last three seasons with the St. Louis Rams.
