After this past weekend’s NFL draft, it’s obvious that the Seattle Seahawks will have a quarterback controversy going into training camp this season. General manager John Schneider clearly stated that the position isn’t “set in stone.” “We don’t exactly have our quarterback position set in stone for the long run,” said John Schneider. With veteran Tavaris Jackson scheduled to make $4 million this season, if he doesn’t win the starting job, I don’t think the Seahawks will have him sit while making that much money. I believe the starting quarterback job in Seattle will come down to Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson.

  • Looks like we have a good shot at the number one pick in the draft next year which we can trade for a bunch of picks in the later rounds.

The Jets cussed out the Seahawks for drafting the red hot Bruce Irvin.

Some way, somehow out of all the alleged bad boys with character issues in this year’s draft, Bruce Irvin was the most coveted acquisition. Publicly jaws dropped when the Seattle Seahawks took him the first round. Beyond his personal issues Irvin was seen as project player that can do one thing well and that’s speed rush the passer. Pete Carroll – John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks win their draft

PCJS Not Winning The Draft Popularity Contest After all of the draft grades were counted and a consensus was taken on the ten picks in the Seattle Seahawks 2012 draft, the majority of the comments that came back from most of the pundits had a common theme, “Not so Much”. In terms of filling their needs, the Seahawks not only met their bar, but exceeded it. In terms of maximizing...

In-Depth: A closer look at the Seahawks Bobby Wagner

Get to know Bobby Wagner The Seattle Seahawks wheeled and dealed like they normally do in this year’s NFL Draft. They started with 6 draft picks and ended up with 10. The team had a few holes to fill in the draft with Linebacker being a big concern. The Seahawks augmented that issue by drafting a monster of a linebacker. With the 47th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks...

Jets cursed out the Seahawks after they drafted Bruce Irvin

Yesterday we mentioned that there were a few other teams other than the Seattle Seahawks that were really interested in former West Virginia linebacker Bruce Irvin because of his pass rushing skills.  One of those teams happened to be the New York Jets and they weren’t happy when the Seattle Seahawks drafted him with the 15th overall pick. According to Len Pasquarelli of the...

Steven Hauschka signs one-year tender Seattle

In 2011/12 Steven Hauschka played 16 games. He was 34/34 on XP's, and 25/30 on FG attempts, including two of more than 50 yards. A nice start for the guy that gave Pete Carroll and John Schneider a reason to cut former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed in the Seahawks 2012 training camp, after he'd (we thought) won the job. On Monday the Seahawks incumbent kicker signed...

Seattle Seahawks Flop Draft, Destroy Title Hopes In 2012-13

When watching the Seattle Seahawks trip and stumble through their 2011-12 NFL campaign, it never occurred to me that they were an average or better QB away from truly competing. Their signing of free agent Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn was the right move, as they had no realistic hopes of landing Peyton Manning, or Andrew Luck or RGIII in the draft for that matter, and desperately...
