Breno Giacomini has re-signed with the Seahawks, agreeing to a multi-year deal with the team. Terms were not disclosed by the team, but it is a two-year deal.Giacomini was one of the nearly 20 players scheduled to be unrestricted free agents.Giacomini, 26, was originally a fifth-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers, chosen out of Louisville. The Seahawks acquired him in September 2010, claiming him off Green Bay's practice squad. He started eight games at right tackle for the Seahawks last season, including the final seven after first-round draft pick James Carpenter suffered a season-ending knee injury.Giacomini showed himself to be a capable starter, and re-signing him lessens the urgency of Carpenter's recovery from a torn anterior-cruciate ligament (ACL). If Carpenter begins training camp on the physically unable to perform list (PUP), Seattle has a player prepared to start at right tackle.

Is Kellen Moore the right choice for the Seahawks?

The quarterback position for the Seattle Seahawks is an obvious need during the 2012 NFL draft, but is Kellen Moore the right choice? The Seahawks need a new QB. It was painfully apparent that Charlie Whitehurst was not the guy to fill that position and then Tarvaris Jackson came along...

Keeping the Band Together

[Note: Recurring computer problems have kept me sidelined for the last two weeks, but I think I’ve finally got them solved.  The way I see it, my PC was at least polite enough to wait until the Seahawks’ season was over to give me trouble.] Although the Seahawks’ 2011 season ended with them eliminated from playoff contention for the third time in the last four years, I...

Maybe it’s time to just forget about Peyton Manning with the Seahawks

So, all that excitement about the possibility of perhaps maybe potentially getting Peyton Manning on the Seattle Seahawks? Yeah, it might be time to forget about it.
