TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks
Jason LaCanfora reports that the Seattle Seahawks will start shopping Tarvaris Jackson around the league, barring an injury to either Matt Flynn or Russell Wilson. While Pete Carroll has said that it was a three-man competition for the teams starting quarterback position, Flynn and Wilson have seen all of the playing time during the preseason, which be the case again this weekend. Jackson will make $4 million for the upcoming season, so it certainly makes to see them move on, even if they find no interest in him.

Seattle Seahawks Will Trade Tarvaris Jackson, But Will Any Team Want Him?
The Seattle Seahawks are likely looking to trade quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, as Matt Flynn is cementing himself as the team’s starter, and while Russell Wilson appears more than capable of handling the back up role. So while the Seahawks are more than willing to move Jackson before the next week or so, the question remains, what team would actually want Jackson at this point...
Philadelphia Eagles Should Trade For Tarvaris Jackson
I wrote an article early this morning describing why I think the Eagles should not sign Tarvaris Jackson.
The more research I did, the more i realized; Tarvaris Jackson isn't really all that bad.
Sure, he has never finished a full 16-games, but the Eagles don't plan on using him for a full season.
Michael Vick averages 2-3 missed games per season if you don't count...
Tarvaris Jackson might be on his way out of Seattle
Mark EvansA three-man quarterback competition seems a bit rare in the NFL, especially considering how many stud quarterbacks are in the league today.
But this is what we had with the Seattle Seahawks. The team has tried to make Tarvaris Jackson the starter last season, and that wasn’t so great. Additionally, they went out and signed former Packers backup Matt Flynn and drafted...
Seahawks QB Jackson won't play in second preseason game either
Tarvaris Jackson, who was Seattle's starting quarterback last season, will not play in the Seahawks' second preseason game on Saturday against Denver, but coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Tuesday that Jackson is still in the competition to be the Seahawks' regular-season starter. Philadelphia Eagles Should Not Pursue Tarvaris Jackson
Early Wednesday morning it was reported by Pete Carroll that Seattle quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was unhappy with his status on the team.
Not that he is unhappy with the shuffling at quarterback, rather that the Seahawks are trying to shop him around. I heard about the news and shook it off.
Then a few hours later I saw a tweet from @bleedinggreennation with a link that took me...
Seahawks shopping Jackson
Where does this leave Tarvaris Jackson? Today the news broke from Pete Carroll that Matt Flynn would indeed start the second preseason game. Russell Wilson would play the second half again, just like last week. One game into the preseason, Jackson has yet to see any playing time against a team other than his own. The QB controversy in Seattle has all but been narrowed down...
Rookie Russell Wilson fighting for Seahawks starting job
Tarvaris Jackson may be frustrated by the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback competition, butRussell Wilson is enjoying it. Wilson, who is backing up Matt Flynn during the preseason while Jackson watches from the sideline, said on KJR in Seattle that he thinks he’s getting better as a quarterback — and getting closer to being a starting quarterback. Final Public Practice – Observations
Notable Points
Judging from this practice alone, Matt Flynn is the clear-cut favorite to start in week 1 of the regular season. Flynn, as advertised, showed crispness in his mechanics and his accuracy was top-notch, (only 3 incompletions during the entire practice). He often checked down short passes rather than airing it out deep, but did flash his arm on several occasions as...
Seahawks Rookie QB Russell Wilson Believes He Can Be An NFL Starter
Seattle's incumbent starter Tarvaris Jackson didn't play in the Seahawks preseason opener last week, and coach Pete Carroll already has said that, once again, Matt Flynn will play the first half of Saturday's contest against the Broncos and rookie Russell Wilson will take over for the second. In the past, Carroll has said he knows what Jackson can do for him, but as CBSSports...
Sam Bradford might need ankle surgery after this season
AP Photo
According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford may need to undergo offseason ankle surgery. There is the chance that just resting his ankle after the season will help.
