According to the Seahawks website, offensive tackle Allen Barbre has been released. Barbre completed his four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, and has been released rather than added to the 53-man roster.
Barbrie was signed by the Seahawks in 2011 after he was released by the Green Bay Packers. Barbre was originally drafted by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2007 draft and played with them until he was released due to injuries. After Barbre’s first trip with the Seahawks, he played with the Miami Dolphins from 2010 to 2011, and again with the Seahawks from 2011 until this week.
Since Barbre was drafted in 2007, he has played in 29 games, starting in seven. In his career Barbre has recovered just one fumble and has played in ten or more games only once – in 2009 with the Packers.
