The Seattle Seahawks have released tight end Chris Baker, Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports. Baker, 31, caught nine passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in his one season with the Seahawks, which ended when he was placed on injured reserve in the post-season with a hip injury. With Seattle using more 2-TE sets under former offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates, the Seahawks signed Baker to two-year, $4.75 million contract last March. Acording to a league source, Baker was due a $500,000 roster bonus on the 7th day of the 2011 league year, and a $1.5 million base salary next season.
