Via NESN:
We were all waiting for a call from the replacement officials that would cause the referee lockout to end. This may be it.
The Seahawks were trailing 12-7 on Monday Night Football with eight seconds remaining on the Packers 24-yard-line when Russell Wilson heaved back and threw a hail mary right into Packers safety M.D. Jennings arms. Or did he?
According to the officials, Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate managed to rip the ball out of Jennings hands on the way to the ground, but it sure didn't look that way. When both players landed, the two nearest officials gave two different calls, one touchdown, one waiving the play off. The touchdown call stood.
The play was even challenged, since it was within the last two minutes, and it still wasn't reversed. After a long delay before the Seahawks were able to kick an extra-point, Seattle won 14-12.

Another victim of our outcome based education system!
It showed the Green Bay player catching the bay and the Seattle player placing his hand on on the way to the ground. I feel sad for the SeaHawks if they claim this as a victory. It was a miscall by the one offical who said it was a touch down. That is all there is to it. No favaritism involved, Right is Right
I don't really think you've been good little boys and girls but you sure gotta gift tonight!
every Sunday
Chaos!
Fiasco!
Fisaco!
Sincerely in Christ,
PJW
What I would like to know is why we are not talking about the other 59 mins of the game? Seattle man-handled Aron, sacking him 8 times. And what about the missed call (interence on Seattle) that extended the Packers drive and allowed them to score? Without that missed call, there would not have been the need for Seattle to pass a "hail Mary," they would have already won the game!
All of you backseat commentators, did you watch the entire game? Or did you only see the last 49 secs on replay? There were many missed calls; the refs could easily (and should have) called pass interference on at least one of the plays leading to the final drive and score by the Seahawks. Let's not forget that the game is played for 60 mins, not 49 secs. Remember, interference calls are not reviewable.
Yes, there were bad calls by the referees. One bad interence call allowed Green Bay to score, and one bad interfernce call allowed Seattle to score. Kind of even outs, doesn't it?
I think that the Green Bay Packer's fans who are complaining the loudest are embarrassed at what happened during the other 59 mins of the game so they are conveniently forgetting about those minutes and just concentrating on the last 49 secs.
Oh, and Mr President, stick to basketball!
