Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman posted his stats up against Jets cornerback Darelle Revis’ on Twitter tonight, as if to say he’s a better player.  If you click the picture above you’ll get a larger view. “Women lie, men lie, numbers don’t lie” twitter.com/RSherman_25/st… — Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) January 25, 2013 Sherman also made it clear he doesn’t want to hear the excuses for Revis. Sometimes the truth needs to be told.Tired of the noise lol.Btw I am near the least targeted corner in the League.So keep the excuses — Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) January 25, 2013 The problem is that Revis missed the majority of this past season with a torn ACL and Sherman has only put together one good year and one great year.  I want to see it over a long period of time. Also Don’t forget, Sherman was busted for performance enhancing drugs.  I know he got off, but that was due to a technicality.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

  • sherman needs to grow up first then maybe he can carry Revis jock strap around cause he certainly couldnt fill it up. Tired of this useless individuals crap.
  • You would take a technicality to, lets not get to self-righteous.
  • I, for one, really enjoy the swag - it's about time Seattle had a team that's fun to talk about, and better yet, to believe in! Sherman is a great player, who'll only get better. Let him have his fun - and then prove it! Love the guy (o;
  • I totally agree!I think he has more than proven his worth
  • Sherman probably does talk too much... but I sure as hell would NOT trade Sherman for Revis. At least Sherman knows how to agree to a contract and be happy about it
  • well, he is better at beating the drug test's
  • Richard Sherman has Niner coaches Harbaugh and Fangio to thank for whatever DB skills he has today. Sherman was an underachieving WR at Stanford when Harbaugh arrived. Jim saw a lack of speed and depth at DB and had better WR prospects than Sherman - whose early games at DB were NOT good but he apparently learned how to use his size and strength over speedy WR's (and he had been on the other side of the ball). If Sherman was a good WR he would have been asked to play old-school like Owen Marecic did so well for the Cardinal.

    It appears that nobody ever worked with Sherman on his character, but why does that matter in the NFL, where the likes of Ray Lewis are celebrated? Whatever Richard is doing, it's working and for now he's better than Lance Armstrong or Barry Bonds...and Revis!

Potential 2013 Seattle Seahawks roster changes

The 2012 season is over for the Seattle Seahawks, and now we look onto the potential 2013 Seattle Seahawks roster changes. The Seahawks will potentially let 12 players fly away this offseason. We start unfortunately will the defensive line. Alan Branch and Jason Jones are unrestricted free agents in 2013. Jones is a player the Seahawks can live with departing, but Branch is another...

Richard Sherman Believes he is Better than Darelle Revis

    To be the best at what you do for a living, I believe that you have to think you are the best. Creating positive thoughts and momentum for yourself,  even if realistically that may not be the case. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has never been one to be at a loss for words, especially when it comes to his own play and performance. After a great season, it appears Sherman...

Seahawks Richard Sherman says “numbers don’t lie, I’m better than Darrell Revis”

Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman is a talker. He believes he’s stepping into rare air and he’s not afraid to troll you with his greatness. His latest stunt, he dropped a side by side graphic of his numbers and Jets corner, Darrelle Revis’ too. The caption, “Men lie, Women lie, numbers don’t.” True but, numbers can be manipulated. Keep in mind Revis only played...

Richard Sherman believes he is better than Darrelle Revis?

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is one of the cockiest players in the NFL, and deservedly so. Over the past two seasons, Sherman has emerged as one of the best shutdown cornerbacks in the league. He was the anchor of a Seattle defense that led the team to an 11-5 regular season record this year and fell two points short of advancing to the NFC Championship Game. The one...

Seattle Seahawks 2013 personnel in review: the class of 2012

Rookies get an A+ After the draft commenced in 2012, Mel Kiper and Todd McShay handed out their respective grades for each team. They gave an overall grade of the entire draft, as well as a more specific grade on player value attained. The Seahawks were given an overall grade of a C-, as well as a D- for player value attained — the worst in the league. Mel claimed that Bruce Irvin was...

The Seattle Seahawks & Matt Flynn: What to do?

Backup or Pack-up? At this time last season the Seattle Seahawks were in a much different state-of-mind than they are right now. They were coming off a 7-9 season behind the elite quarterbacking skills of Tavaris Jackson (sarcasm hopefully noted) that was more up-and-down than a roller coaster ride at Disneyland. That being their second consecutive 7-9 season (at least in the regular...

Seattle Seahawks: Top 5 Players in Franchise History

With the drafting of Russell Wilson in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Seahawks fans are excited about the future. This young team has Seahawks fans looking ahead.  But I love the history of the team. Founded in 1976, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Seahawks are the same age as me and I have been a fan the entire time.  Win or lose, I have supported the Seahawks every...

Seattle Seahawks: 10 Nastiest Rivalries in Franchise History

The Seattle Seahawks have the distinction of being the only NFL team to change conferences twice.  The inaugural 1976 team played in the NFC West before switching to the AFC West the following season. Beginning in the 2002 season, the Seahawks switched back over to the NFC West after the NFL realigned when the Houston Texans became the 32nd team in the league.The Seahawks spent...

Seattle hires Matt Thomas as new team VP

The Seattle Seahawks have hired former Cleveland and Miami executive Matt Thomas as their new vice president of football administration. The Seahawks announced Thomas' hiring Friday. He replaces John Idzik who left the organization to become the new general manager of the New York Jets. Thomas spent the last three seasons with the Browns in the same capacity as his position...

Keep on yacking Richard Sherman

Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman has become famous this season as one of most loquacious and garrulous football players in the NFL. He gets on the opponents nerves, and I love it. He’s a cornerback that takes on Tom Brady verbally, and shuts him up with a Seahawks victory physically. He got Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins to punch him in the face just to shut him up after...
