Found April 08, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
After trading backup quarterback Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders, the Seattle Seahawks are in the market for a veteran reserve that can line up behind starter Russell Wilson. While the team reportedly isn’t interested in a player such as Tim Tebow, they have been tied to Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart, and the duo is set to visit with the Seahawks in the near future. Beyond Quinn and Leinart, Seattle will be hosting Seneca Wallace – a former QB with the team – and Tyler Thigpen, according to Mike Garafolo of USA Today. Leinart has ties to the Seahawks through former USC coach Pete Carroll. However, the veteran has started just a pair of games since the 2007 season. Quinn – also a former high-profile college quarterback – has also bounced around the league as a backup over the past couple of years. Wallace and Thigpen could be more of what Seattle is looking for, as they reportedly want to acquire a player that is comfortable handling the read-option in case Wilson is injured. In depth 2013: Seattle Seahawks

Division rival San Francisco went to the Super Bowl in 2012, but Seattle scored more points, allowed fewer and, in the process, found a likely future star to be the team’s signal caller in the process. How Much More Can Russell Wilson Improve?

When the 2012 NFL season kicked off, no one gave Russell Wilson a ton of thought because he was scheduled to be playing behind Matt Flynn.
