NFL Injury Report:
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn is set to be one of
the highest-paid backups in the NFL. While the Seahawks are open to trading
Flynn, they do not plan on releasing him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Rapoport notes that the Seahawks maintain that they are
comfortable retaining Flynn as insurance against starting quarterback Russell
Wilson, whose style of play makes him more prone to injury. Wilson is also
inexpensive as he was a third-round pick and is still under the contract he
signed as a rookie.
While the Seahawks do have the luxury of keeping both Wilson
and Flynn on their roster, there is a chance that they are simply posturing in
an attempt to acquire higher compensation for Flynn. If teams thought that
Seattle was likely to cut ties with Flynn, they wouldn’t give up anything of
significance to acquire him.
Rapoport speculates that the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland
Browns and New York Jets could all potentially express interest in Flynn.

The Seattle Seahawks signed Matt Flynn last offseason and then drafted Russell Wilson. Flynn was expected to be the teams starter but soreness in his throwing elbow and the surprising skills of Wilson relegated him to a backup role.
While Flynn wants to be a stater in the league a trade of him will not be easy. That does not mean that he will be released though.

The Seattle Seahawks had one of the most feared defenses in the 2012 NFL season. Mainly because they have arguably the best secondary in the game of football. They finished sixth in the NFL in pass defense and one of the reasons was cornerback Richard Sherman. He may talk a lot of trash but he can back every bit of it up. He was a big reason the Seahawks were so successful in 2012... Read more

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
The war of words between the two elite NFL cornerbacks doesn't appear to be slowing down at all, with the latest barb coming from the outspoken Seattle defender.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman joined 710 ESPN (via SportsRadioInterviews.com) with Afternoons with the Go To Guy and he was asked what he thinks about the possibility of Darrelle Revis playing for the 49ers, since they would then be in the same division.
“It’d be fun either way,” said Sherman. “There’s always a rivalry there. I still wouldn’t get to play...
Cullen Jenkins is a (line)man on a mission: to bolster up a defensive line. And before he signs the dotted line, the former Eagle who was highly reliable in terms of showing up to the job (started all sixteen games in his two seasons), will prefer working for not just any team, but a playoff contender. According to ESPN’s Adam Shefter, Jenkins has “meetings lined up with Seahawks...
