Our man Brandon made a pitch for why the Seattle Seahawks should appear on HBO's 2012 Hard Knocks
a little over a week ago in his 5 Reasons the Seahawks are a perfect fit article.
Apparently the powers that be over at the VMAC see things differently
Per a story today at ProFootballTalk
the Seahawks were approached about HBO's Hard Knocks, but said no.
Seahawks GM John Schneider said the Seahawks weren’t formally offered the spot, but that when they were approached, they decided they didn’t want to do it.
We're still hearing there is just one team that is really interested. The Jacksonville Jaguars, which we all know would be more than happy to grab all the attention they can get.
The list of teams NOT wanting to appear on Hard Knocks continues to grow. The Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins have either declined or said they are not interested.
Meanwhile along the shores of Lake Washington the Seahawks officially kicked off the 2012 OTA portion of its offseason program.
The 1st unit offense and 1st unit defense finally faced one another as the team held the first of its 10 OTA practices.

Seahawks offensive lineman Allen Barbre was suspended the first four games of the 2012 season, Howard Balzer of the The Sports Xchange has learned. Barbre, 28, plays guard and tackle. He's not guaranteed a roster spot and his suspension complicates his chances of making the 53-man roster out of camp. The Seahawks pursued multiple offensive linemen in the offseason and also...
According to NFL.com, a source close to the Seattle Seahawks, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. will be used as a rotational player for the team. Translation: he’s no longer perceived as a full-time player the way he was in Tampa Bay.
The source told Adam Caplan of Sirius XM Radio that the Seahawks “just didn’t think he could be more...
The Seattle Seahawks have stated that they were approached about being featured in HBO’s Hard Knocks, but they’ve decided to decline the invite.
It seems like every team that gets approached about “Hard Knocks” ends up declining and I can’t say I blame them. After watching the Jets a couple of years ago, I think it’s turned teams off.
When it comes...
In a picture snapped off at the Seattle Seahawks OTA practice today at the VMAC we now know what number Kellen Winslow Jr. will wear at TE for Seattle.
He is officially wearing Darrell Jackson's old #82.
Also Paul Skansi's old #82. But who's showing off their Seahawks history?
K2 will not be available for interviews until Thursday we're told.
With all the controversy, self-centeredness, INJURIES, and all the baggage that comes with Kellen Winslow, the Seattle Seahawks have decided to take a chance on Winslow. Was Seattle forced into this trade or do they like settling for average players with the “I” mentality. Winslow is a former Cleveland Brown and now a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, now nine seasons...
While Kellen Winslow is a good player, since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Josh Freeman, Winslow has failed to match the production he achieved in his two best seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
In 2006 and 2007, Winslow recorded 171 receptions, 1,981 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
However, in 2009 and 2011 with Tampa Bay, Winslow recorded 152 receptions, 1,647...

Dreams do come true. Those sentiments ring stronger than ever in Seattle after cornerback Donny Lisowski was signed by the professional football team he grew up watching, the Seattle Seahawks.
Weight: 188 lbs
Birthdate: January 20th, 1989
Birthplace: Seattle, WA
Lisowski attended O’Dea High...
Even though the NHL playoffs is taking up a lot of attention along with the NBA postseason and the beginning of the MLB season, action in the NFL is heating up as OTAs, or Organized Team Activities as they are formally known, are taking place and the Seattle Seahawks are starting to look like well see in when camp starts up. The Seahawks made a trade to pick up tight end Kellen...
Welcome to Seattle K2
The Seattle Seahawks made a great move on Monday by acquiring TE Kellen Winslow from the Buccaneers and all they had to give up was a conditional 2013 7th round draft pick that will be a 6th round pick if he makes the team and makes some plays.
Per Mike Sando of the ESPN NFC West blog. “The team does have ample cap room to absorb the $4.8 million salary,...
The Seattle Seahawks just acquired tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an undisclosed draft pick on Monday. The Seahawks already had a solid pass-catching tight end in Zach Miller who they signed from the Oakland Raiders just a year earlier. Miller only caught 25 passes for Seattle last year though after having 60 or more receptions in each of his last...
According to John Boyle of the Everett Herald, during this week’s OTA’s, Matt Flynn, Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson all split the first team reps on offense.
Now we can say that the quarterback competition in Seattle has officially started and my guess is that it won’t end until midway through the preseason. So put on your seatbelts and enjoy the ride.

Yesterday was a busy for Kellen Winslow. He started the day, according to a report by ESPN.com by going on SiriusXM radio telling the football world that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were moving on and looking to trade him. By the end of the...
The third and final phase of the offseason is in full swing as the Seattle Seahawks hold the first of ten offseason team activities (OTAs) this week at Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Under the new collective bargaining agreement, phase three allows all coaches to be present at on-field team practices and 10 OTA days, which will be broken up in to four mini camps over the next four...
