With rookie offensive tackle James Carpenter placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury, the Seattle Seahawks replaced him on the roster with former Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Allen Barbre. Barbre has played in 28 career games with seven start, including three last season with the Seahawks. He was previously with the Miami Dolphins before being released on Sept. 6. Barbre was the Packers' fourth-round selection (119th overall) in the 2007 NFL draft from Missouri Southern. Carpenter was drafted 25th overall out of Alabama and started nine games, eight at right tackle and one at left guard.
