The Seattle Seahawks selected quarterback Russell Wilson with the No. 75 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Spin:
The Seahawks reeled in prized free agent quarterback Matt Flynn, but he is still yet to prove himself as an NFL starter - and the club took a flier on undersized dynamo Wilson, who has a cannon for an arm and stellar athletic skills. He may see action in specialty packages as a rookie, but is not likely going to beat out Flynn for the No. 1 role in Seattle, and his short-term fantasy value is very low.

Seahawks quarterback situation isn’t “set in stone”
After this past weekend’s NFL draft, it’s obvious that the Seattle Seahawks will have a quarterback controversy going into training camp this season. General manager John Schneider clearly stated that the position isn’t “set in stone.”
“We don’t exactly have our quarterback position set in stone for the long run,” said John Schneider.

Draft Losers: Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks made the reach of the draft by selecting Bruce Irvin in the 1st round, but that wasn’t the last of their poor decisions. And for the second straight year, Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider demonstrated a complete lack of understanding as to how to use the draft to effectively improve their roster.
Irvin's workout numbers landed him in the 1st round

Seattle Seahawks Flop Draft, Destroy Title Hopes In 2012-13
When watching the Seattle Seahawks trip and stumble through their 2011-12 NFL campaign, it never occurred to me that they were an average or better QB away from truly competing.
Their signing of free agent Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn was the right move, as they had no realistic hopes of landing Peyton Manning, or Andrew Luck or RGIII in the draft for that matter, and desperately...
The Jets cussed out the Seahawks for drafting the red hot Bruce Irvin.
Some way, somehow out of all the alleged bad boys with character issues in this year’s draft, Bruce Irvin was the most coveted acquisition.
Publicly jaws dropped when the Seattle Seahawks took him the first round. Beyond his personal issues Irvin was seen as project player that can do one thing well and that’s speed rush the passer.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson signs marketing deal with FWV
Seattle Seahawks 3rd round draft pick QB Russell Wilson has signed with Raleigh-based French/West/Vaughan (FWV). FWV will handle all of Wilson's marketing, public relations, and endorsements.
Wilson joins a growing roster at FWV including NFL stars Arian Foster and Michael Vick, and former NFL All-Pro Simeon Rice. Apparently for FWV, Wilson was a perfect fit from the beginning...
Seattle Seahawks Draft Grade: D-
So this is officially the one thousandth article grading the Seahawks’ draft in the failing grade range. Take the “homer” and “fan” out of your analysis and you too would feel this way. But my reasoning may be different than others. Let’s take a few picks and see.
Round 1. The Seahawks choose Bruce Irvin, DE from West Virginia. Irvin may be the best pass rusher...

PCJS Not Winning The Draft Popularity Contest
After all of the draft grades were counted and a consensus was taken on the ten picks in the Seattle Seahawks 2012 draft, the majority of the comments that came back from most of the pundits had a common theme, “Not so Much”.
In terms of filling their needs, the Seahawks not only met their bar, but exceeded it.
In terms of maximizing...

Jets Cursed Out Seahawks After They Grabbed DE/LB Bruce Irvin
After Seattle took Irvin, the Seahawks got a call from Jets headquarters. New York "good-naturedly" cursed at the Seahawks for taking the guy they planned to draft one pick later, according Len Pasquarelli of the SportsXchange. Irvin was also believed to be on the short list of candidates in Chicago, Green Bay, and San Francisco. One general manager called Irvin the "...

Jets cursed out the Seahawks after they drafted Bruce Irvin
Yesterday we mentioned that there were a few other teams other than the Seattle Seahawks that were really interested in former West Virginia linebacker Bruce Irvin because of his pass rushing skills. One of those teams happened to be the New York Jets and they weren’t happy when the Seattle Seahawks drafted him with the 15th overall pick.
According to Len Pasquarelli of the...

Seattle Seahawks 2012 Draft Grades
This is the third draft for the John Schneider and Pete Carroll regime, and more so than the other two, this draft really went against the grain in terms of what the prognosticators thought the Seahawks should take. One thing about this regime so far; they are more likely to march to the beat of their own drum than to follow the pack. While there were a few needs the Seahawks...
