Pro Football Zone:
The Seattle Seahawks decided to add another quarterback to their roster on Friday, by drafting Russell Wilson of Wisconsin in the 3rd round of the NFL draft.
Despite the fact that Wilson is under six feet tall, I really believe he has the skill set and intangibles to be a legitimate starting NFL quarterback.
With the addition of Wilson and Matt Flynn in the offseason, don’t be surprised if Tarvaris Jackson ends up getting released. I really believe Wilson will have a shot to start in Seattle in 2012.
Watch Wilson on Jon Gruden’s QB Camp. He impressed me a lot.

Can I give a grade lower than F?
The Seattle Seahawks front office is nothing short of clueless when it comes to evaluating prospects. James Carpenter was a disaster of a 1st-round pick in 2011, and yet they found a way to top it here. Bruce Irvin can be a terror as a pass rusher, but he’s very raw and is not a three-down lineman at this stage in his career. Throw the character...
Everyone was quite surprised on Thursday night when the Seattle Seahawks drafted former West Virginia linebacker/defensive end Bruce Irvin with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll made it clear that he believes Irvin is a perfect fit for their system and can’t wait for him to hit the field.
So fired up to have Bruce...
The Seattle Seahawks may have added some competition for Marshawn Lynch in the 4th round with the selection of Utah State running back Robert Turbin.
Turbin enters the league with some injury concerns, which caused him to fall down draft boards, but if he stays healthy he has the potential to develop into a starter at the next level.
Like Lynch, Turbin has a small, compact build...
...Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson. 'Fess up now, did any of you guess quarterback for this pick?
Wilson is an interesting choice. He's got a strong arm, he's accurate, he makes good decisions, and he's intelligent. Normally you'd expect a guy with that kind of resume to go at the top of the first round, but Wilson is an inch shy of six feet tall,...
Today's hot chick is Ashton Wilson, wife of Russell Wilson. Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson got drafted in the third round yesterday by the Seattle Seahawks, but it was his wife Ashton Wilson that made all the noise on the internet. Everyone was infatuated with how hot she was so it only makes sense to feature her as the hot chick of the day. Pictures below.
The Seattle Seahawks needed to come away with a quarterback to develop at some point in this draft, and Russell Wilson is a solid choice. However, the 3rd round is a little too early to take a guy who projects as a career backup.
I love Wilson’s leadership and his intangibles, but he lacks the physical tools to be an elite starter at the next level. I do think he will have a long...
A pair of day one trades could be in the making.
The New England Patriots have two number one picks this year at numbers 27 and 31.
The word is that they could be packaging those picks together to trade places with the Seahawks who are now in the number 12 slot.

Russell Wilson was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Draft last night and his wife Ashton Wilson stole the spotlight by getting SUPER PSYCHED as you can see. First of all that white phone Russell is using is ridiculous. Who still uses this ****? Ashton, @1AshtonWilson, not only reacted ridiculous when her husband was drafted, but was holding her little dog. Don’t worry...
With the #114th pick of the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select Florida Defensive Tackle Jaye Howard.

....Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State.
The Seahawks get instant value in the fourth round with this 5'10", 222-pound bruiser of a back. Turbin is a punishing, physical runner who's drawn comparisons to Marion Barber in his prime, and, wait for it -- Marshawn Lynch.
Turbin should be able to step in immediately and be a serviceable backup to Lynch, as both runners have...
The Seahawks used their first draft choice in the fourth round to select RB Robert Turbin out of Utah State. Turbin is a tough, bruising runner with decent speed, and he's not half bad as a receiver, either. He also looks a whole lot like a clone of Marshawn Lynch in this highlight reel, in which he powers through defenders up the middle, outruns them around the edge, runs...
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the New England Patriots have spoken to the Seattle Seahawks about potentially trading up for the 12th overall pick.
Right now we’re not sure if the Patriots are looking to just gather information or actually trying to make a deal for the 12th pick. But if they’re serious about moving up to the 12 spot, I would think they ‘re...
....Jaye Howard, DT, Florida.
Described as more of a raw talent, Howard has drawn comparisons to first-round pick Fletcher Cox. Though he's not as dynamic of an on-field presence as Cox, scouts have praised Howard's motor and explosiveness through the gap, but showed concerns about his weight and consistency.
Sounds like the type of pick John Schneider loves to get...
The Seahawks just swapped second round picks with the Jets, moving them down to the 15th pick (47th overall) along with 19th pick in the fifth round (154th overall) and the 25th pick in the seventh round (232nd overall).
