The Seattle Seahawks are hoping their fears are not true. Chris Clemons
The team fears that defensive end Chris Clemons did not tear his ACL after being hurt in the Seahawks vs. Washington Redskins Wild Card playoff game. Head coach Pete Carroll said in his post-game press conference that he is worried about the injury.
Clemons is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday in Seattle. With the injury, he is expected to be a long shot to play next weekend in Atlanta.
Rookie Bruce Irvin is expected to get more playing time with Clemons likely out.
Clemons was the team’s leading pass rusher this season with 11.5 sacks. He had double digit sacks for the third straight season.
This summer, he re-signed with the Seahawks for three years and $21 million.
