Aging running back Clinton Portis was cut in February by the Washington Redskins, and it now seems Portis may end up in a Seattle Seahawks’ jersey this season.
Tweeted the NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora:
Clinton Portis will workout for the Seahawks this week. No signing expect but they’ll take a look at the veteran running back
So at least there’s the possibility that if the workout goes well Seattle may sign him. The team currently has Marshawn Lynch penciled in as their starting running back.
Portis ran for 227 yards on 54 carries last season for the Redskins.
