Even though it’s only week three of the NFL regular season, Seattle Seahawks rookie linebacker Bruce Irvin has yet to show everyone why he was taken in the middle of the first round of this past April’s draft.
“They say they are seeing progress, but just not seeing results,” said one team insider, per ProFootballWeekly.com. “They are not panicking. They realize how raw he is and are willing to let him grow and develop in practice.”
You can never predict when a player will break out and establish themselves as a legit NFL player. All the Seahawks can do right now is hope that Irvin will show up as soon as possible.

When Bruce Irvin was drafted with the 15th pick in the NFL Draft, everyone but the Seattle Seahawks felt as if the team reached on the West Virginia sack master. Well tonight versus the Packers, Irvin is making the Seahawks look like a very bright team. Irvin already has 2 sacks in the second quarter as the rookie infested Seattle Seahawks are up on the Green Bay...
Seahawks WR Baldwin questionable
Wide receiver Doug Baldwin is questionable for the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night against Green Bay because of a shoulder injury.
Baldwin didn't participate in practice Saturday, the second straight day the Seahawks leading receiver from 2011 did not practice. Coach Pete Carroll says Baldwin banged his shoulder in practice earlier in the week, but that Baldwin believes he...
Russell Okung expected to play Monday
According to Danny O’Neil of The Seattle Times, Seahawks lef tackle Russell Okung is expected to be ready for Monday night’s game against the Packers. He’s been officially listed as questionable as he continues to deal with a knee injury.
Tight end Zach Miller will also likely play.
Video: 90 Seconds of Inspiration With Russell Wilson
Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck have been the most talked about rookie QBs this year, and with good reason. But the most intriguing rookie QB has been Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.
You know the story: he was not a first round pick; he doesn’t have the measurables that impress scouts; he was expected to be a third QB behind newly-signed Matt Flynn or incumbent Tarvaris...
Baldwin out for Seattle; Packers' Jennings active
Doug Baldwin is out for the Seattle Seahawks with a shoulder injury, while Green Bay receiver Greg Jennings is active despite being bothered by a groin injury.
Baldwin was expected to be a game-time decision for Monday night's game against the Packers. He ''banged'' the shoulder during practice, according to coach Pete Carroll. Baldwin was Seattle's leading...

Prime time showdown in Sea-town
I don’t think the snow will be falling like it was the last time these two teams met up on Monday Night Football, but one thing is for sure, one team will be leaving Seattle with a losing record.
After last weeks beat down of the Cowboys, I’m really antsy to see which Seahawks offense will show up this week, the one from week one, or the one...
Packers hope to expose Wilson's inexperience
GREEN BAY, Wis. There will no doubt be at least a small group of Wisconsin residents who will be somewhat torn while watching Monday night's game between the state's beloved Packers and the Russell Wilson-led Seattle Seahawks. Though most cheeseheads would never abandon their allegiance to the green and gold, what Wilson -- generously listed at 5-foot-11 -- did for the University...
Five defensive Seahawks that will push Seattle over the .500 mark
Toughness shone through
As the highlight of last years squad, and a group of DB’s that were showcased in the Pro Bowl, the Seahawks defense is the unit that will be tested more and more with each coming week.
A couple of high draft pick players bolster this already tough unit that will need to be at its best to overtake San Francisco for the top spot in the division.
Starting...
The weekly Seahawks Infirmary for Week 3
Packers/Seahawks Week 3
Having an extra day this week to heal up was advantageous for both teams.
Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks should have wide receiver Charly Martin (Chest) and starting left tackle Russell Okung (Knee) back this week.
Last week Frank Omiyale filled in brilliantly for Okung, yet it’s always good to have your starting left tackle back in the game.
Both players...

Monday Night Pick: Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks
In was a tough week 3 thanks in part to 9 home dogs on this week’s card. It was a mixed bag as the home dogs went 4-3 ATS this week. Our only play on Sunday was the Steelers. It was looking good for 3 quarters going into the 4th with a 31-21 lead until a little Oakland magic that only comes with home field advantage occurred, which gave the Raiders the upset win. Tonight we have...

Week 3 Preview & Game Thread: Packers at Seahawks
The Seahawks have a huge chance this week to prove themselves, although that means completely different things for both sides of the ball. The defense will be trying to prove they’re one of the best in the NFL when they go up against one of the best quarterbacks in the game, Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile, the offense will be trying to prove that they can mount a consistent passing...
