Sportsday:
On its 14-play drive for Seattle that resulted in a 43-yard field goal, Seattle did everything it could to avoid letting DeMarcus Ware become a factor. The Seahawks often ran the ball to the opposite side of the field from where Ware lined up.
Only when Seattle got close to the red zone and had to drop into traditional pass blocking schemes was Ware able to cause a little bit of a ruckus. He beat tackle Damion McIntosh with an inside move on second down and his presence bearing down on Matt Hasslebeck may have led to the quarterback slightly hurrying a second-down pass. On third down, Ware and several players got free in the backfield, forcing another hurried, incomplete pass.
So far no double teams, but it does appear that Ware could beat McIntosh to the inside, if the Seahawks don't give their tackle some help.
