Doug Baldwin took exception with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll's assessment that the receiver was a long-shot to play this week after missing last week's game with a high-ankle sprain. Baldwin backed that up by returning to practice Wednesday on a limited basis, and on Thursday he was a full participant in practice, indicating that he has a decent shot of getting back. That would be a remarkably quick turnaround for a player with that type of injury. Often players with high-ankle sprains miss four to six weeks, though the recovery time can vary quite a bit based on the severity of the injury. Source: The Herald Attached Thumbnails

Can the Seahawks ever be road warriors?
As a lifelong Seahawks fan, that question is something I have pondered over and over again. The answer I come up with is this: I just do not know, but it is something that must be figured out in order for them to make the leap from pretender to contender. To be considered a legitimate contender, it simply must happen. No team can win a Super Bowl, let alone a few playoff games...
Seahawks WR Baldwin expected to play vs. Vikings
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin should play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, two weeks after sustaining a high ankle sprain, according to the Seattle Times. Baldwin was expected to take longer to heal, but practiced all week to the surprise of coach Pete Carroll on Friday. "You can't even explain it, but he pulled it off," Carroll said. "It...
Wilson finding his groove post-Wisconsin
RENTON, Wash. (AP) Eight games into his inaugural campaign as starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson has begun to find a groove.
The Seahawks have put more on Wilson's plate in recent weeks as Seattle has gone to the passing game more frequently. Seattle has averaged over 30 carries a game for the season. But of Seattle's four games with fewer than...
Seattle Seahawks: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings (#14)
Last week: 14 (-0)
Record: 4-4
No the sky is not falling with this team. They just went on the road for 2 games. Everything will be fine this week when the play the Vikings back in Seattle, where they play 5 of their final 8 games. They’ll still be right in the NFC playoff mix, but they will have to win 1 more road game. 9 wins probably won’t cut it in the NFC and that’s assuming...
Healthy Rice could mean trouble for Vikings
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings understand the tease with Seattle Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice very well from his first four years in the league. In the past two years, Seattle has learned quickly that Rice can be one of the NFL's best wide receivers, when healthy.
That's been the rub for Rice.
The talented, 6-foot-4 receiver has played in 16 games only once...

The Seattle Seahawks went 2-2 during the first quarter of the season. As I expected, they split the games in the second quarter of the season as well.

Here is how they got there:

The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks didn't end the first half of the season how they wanted. Both are hoping the second half starts on a positive note Sunday.
The Vikings will try to rebound from their most lopsided loss of the year and hand a third consecutive defeat to the Seahawks, who seek their best start at home since 2005.
This game features the NFL's top...
Peterson, Lynch provide quite the comparisons
The top two running backs in the league will be on the same field Sunday. But the comparisons between Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch go far beyond this season’s yardage totals. See how similar they are and what the Vikings had to say about Lynch.
