Seahawks WR Sidney Rice almost certainly out for Thursday's game

RENTON -- Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice will not practice Tuesday, and is almost certain not to be available for Thursday's game against Philadelphia, according to Seattle coach Pete Carroll."Very slim that he has any chance of playing," Carroll said.Rice left Sunday's game with a head injury. It is the second concussion he has suffered in three games, and Carroll said that fact is a factor in the decision. The league also has a protocol for the evaluation of players who leave a game with a concussion, and they must be cleared before they are able to return. The fact Seattle plays Thursday this week, four days earlier than normal, is also a factor.Rice is a starting wide receiver for Seattle, and he will be replaced in the lineup by Ben Obomanu.
