Found February 25, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com writes that Miami Dolphins’ CB Sean Smith could be the “most coveted” cornerback in this year’s free agent market. Rapoport lists the Eagles, 49ers, Buccaneers and Lions as interested team, but adds that the Eagles could be the one to watch out for. According to Rapoport, Philadelphia “likes him a ton,” but have some concerns regarding his overall asking price. Rapoport even suggests that the Eagles could allow Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to walk and restructure Nnamdi Asomugha‘s contract. There have been several reports that have suggested that Smith could be targeting as much as $24 million in guaranteed cash in his next contract, but if the market is as deep as Rapoport suggests, he stands a chance of securing that kind of deal. Eagles Could Target CB Sean Smith In Free Agency

Geoff Mosher of CSN reports that the Philadelphia Eagles have interest in Dolphins free agent CB Sean Smith. Mosher adds that their interest would only be at “their price.“ Smith is one of the more interesting free agents, as he offers plenty of size and could develop into a very solid player in the coming years. Who is the #1 wr in 2013 draft?

The pre-draft process is now in full-bloom with the combine officially underway. The past several drafts have had ‘Alpha’ prospects (also referred to as ‘can’t miss’ prospects). Andrew Luck and RG3 headlined last year’s class; Von Miller, Julio Jones, and AJ Green before that. This year’s draft simply lacks the ‘star-power’ of previous drafts. The group is headlined...

According to the Detroit Free-Press, the Lions’ interest in Bush is “real.”  Some people believe the they will make Bush a primary target during free agency. There’s no doubt the Lions need to make an upgrade...

Vontae Davis claims he was hacked after tweet that would mean Chiefs are tampering with Sean Smith

Colts cornerback Vontae Davis took to his Twitter account earlier today to inform his followers that he saw former teammate Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith last night and that Smith was talking to Kansas City. That would be all well and good besides the fact that under league rules, Smith can’t talk to another team because he’s under contract with the Dolphins. When something...

Dolphins Not Sold On Greg Jennings?

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is not a “huge fan” of free agent WR Greg Jennings as a player. McGinn also reported that an AFC executive informed him that Jennings is likely to command a deal that would pay him $7-9 million annually. The Packers are reportedly considering whether or not to use their franchise...

Vontae Davis tweets that Sean Smith is speaking with Chiefs illegally

The Miami Dolphins don’t seem to be in too big of a rush to resign Sean Smith.  However, it seems that Smith might be antsy to find a new team as soon as free agency opens on March 12th.  Typically, when you get NFL players, agents, coaches, and general managers in the same place (The Combine), there will be a lot of behind the scenes discussions that take place.  Now, those...
