Although his cute, chubby little face is not officially ass canned by the Minnesota Vikings yet, it's been pretty clear that current defensive coordinator Fred Pagac won't return, and the team is looking for a new defensive coordinator in 2012. Going 3-13 with Drew Brees throwing for 700 yards on you will likely expedite you losing your job. That's just facts. More facts include that Raheem Morris, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach and Mike Tomlin clone (kind of), has already been brought in for an interview for the position. So really, think about that. Pagac may be interviewing the guy to take his job. Brutal. And while Morris would have been an exciting fit (Knows the Cover-2 system, runs a 4-3 defense, can coach retarded defensive backs like a whiz, etc, etc), it was recently announced that the Washington Redskins had won his services as a defensive backs coach. So scratch his name off the list, and the Vikings are right back where they began. But not all is lost. To...

Scott Tolzien gets a thrill playing Drew Brees

Scott Tolzien is having a ball playing Drew Brees in practice this week. Not a bad gig for the little-known practice-squad quarterback, who wasn't even drafted after a stellar career at Wisconsin or active on game day for the NFC West champion 49ers (13-3) this season. He realizes full well that his behind-the-scenes role is a key to San Francisco's preparation for its NFC...

WATCH IT!: Drew Brees Talks to Ellen About Playoff Run

If I didn’t love me some Ellen DeGeneres, I’d be totally jealous that she gets to count Drew Brees among her circle of besties. I mean, the dude is on this show so much, he may as well be a co-host. Not that I’m complaining or anything. I LOVES ME SOME DREW, too!! Today on Ellen, the Saints QB was his usual adorable self chatting with Ellen about this weekend...

New Orleans Saints, Let’s Make History

Drew Brees breaking Dan Marino’s single season passing record…awesome. The Saints breaking the record for most offensive yards in a season…sweet. Darren Sproles breaking the all-purpose yardage record…gotta love it! This season has been one for the books for the New Orleans Saints. And while all the accolades thus far are just swell, this fan wants to make...

49ers-Saints Preview: Keys to the 49ers defensive success

DEFENSIVE KEYS 1-TRAP BREES: Sacking quarterback Drew Brees is optimal, but the 49ers seem more intent on trapping him in the pocket. Brees is only six feet tall, but he's able to see the field by stepping up in the pocket and no one sees the whole field as well as he does. The 49ers plan to rush...

Raheem Morris has competition in Minnesota regarding the team’s defensive coordinator position. Even though their defensive coordinator position isn’t open. The job would presumably to run the Vikings defense, although current defensive...

Saints Are Hot, but They Have Been Stopped

The New Orleans Saints right now appear unstoppable. Now the Saints march into Candlestick Park this Saturday to meet the 49ers in a divisional-round NFC playoff game. Yet the 49ers are taking solace in the...

Would a Switch To The 3-4 Be a Good Move For The Falcons?

Im sure all of you are aware that yesterday former Falcons DC Brian Van Gorder vacated his post in Atlanta to take the Defensive Coordinator position at Auburn University.
