Seattle Seahawks (8-5) at Buffalo Bills (5-8) The Seahawks have the biggest home/road disparity over the last few years. They are 23-43 ATS on the road and 46-20 ATS at home since 2005. This year, they are a perfect 6-0 ATS at home, including 3-0 SU as home dogs, but on the road they are 3-4 ATS. That might not sound bad, until we take a closer look. Two of those covers were in their 2nd straight road game and teams generally cover as road dogs off a road loss. The Seahawks are an even worse 16-31 ATS on the road directly after a home game since 2005, a situation they’re in this week. The other cover was a 7 point loss in San Francisco as 7.5 point dogs, which should have been a 9 point loss and non-cover, but Jim Harbaugh strangely declined a safety. They still struggled mightily offensively, scoring just 6 points and it was on a Thursday Night, when weird stuff happens. The point remains, the Seahawks are not a good road team. They are 1-3 ATS on the road off a home game this year...

Seahawks to wear alternate “wolf grey” uniforms in Toronto

Nike The Seattle Seahawks will be wearing their alternate “grey wolf” uniformswhen they travel to Toronto to play the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday. While a lot of people aren’t crazy about the Seahawks’ new uniforms, I don’t have a problem with them.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'...

One Game At A Time For The Seattle Seahawks

Do you remember the game the Seattle Seahawks played against the Cardinals on Sunday? You know the 58-Nil beat-down handed out by the defense and Marshawn Lynch? Yeah, you might as well forget about it. I say this for two reasons. The first is that in a game like that, where everything goes your way, it doesn’t tell you much about who your team is. The defense absolutely dominated...

Making the MVP Argument For Marshawn Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks are in position for a wild card spot in the NFC. They are really overachieving this season considering they are starting a rookie 3rd round pick in QB Russell Wilson. The receiving corps came in with question marks. They had Terrell Owens and Braylon Edwards in their training camp; that should let you know how they felt about their wide receiver situation. It...

Seattle's 2012 draft class paying off on the field

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By TIM BOOTH AP Sports Writer Everyone knows about Seattle stealing quarterback Russell Wilson in the third round of last April's draft and perhaps finding the franchise quarterback so many NFL teams seek. But he's not the only rookie the Seahawks drafted in April who is making a huge impact. From defensive end Bruce Irvin...

Seattle Seahawks shaping up to play the 49ers for all the NFC West marbles in week 16 (playoff picture week 15)

Just a few short weeks after it appeared that the suspensions of the top two cornerbacks would derail the Seattle Seahawks playoff hopes they look every bit the part of a contender and potentially a division champion. Seattle has won two games in a row including a convincing win over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field which allows us to assume they'll handle the Bills on the...

Ryan Fitzpatrick: Top Five Landing Spots For 2013

The Ryan Fitzpatrick experience is in year four in Buffalo and the best he has done until this point, is five wins. In order to understand the quarterback a little better, let's look at where he came from.Fitzpatrick was the 250th pick (seventh round), of the St. Louis Rams in the 2005 Draft. He started three games late in the season, after Rams starting quarterback, Jamie Martin...

Seattle Seahawks: Week 15 NFL Power Rankings (#6)

Last week: 10 (+4) Record: 8-5 Net points per drive: 0.61 (5th) DVOA: 38.8% (2nd) Weighted DVOA: 43.1% (2nd) The Seahawks will control their own destiny to the #2 seed if the 49ers lose in New England this weekend and the Packers lose 1 more game. That’s very possible and if that happens, they’ll just need to win out and two of their final 3 games are at home, where they look...

The trap is set for the Seahawks vs. Bills in Toronto

Have your passports ready On paper, the Seattle Seahawks should be able to head east, and bring home a victory on Sunday.  ”On paper” doesn’t mean much, as the Seahawks have already proven several times this season. We have all heard the term “Trap Game” many times over the years.  If everyone knows about them, why do they happen? Simply put, they just do.  Even veteran...

Buffalo Bills: Week 15 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 19 (-4) Record: 5-8 Net points per drive: -0.41 (26th) DVOA: -6.5% (21st) Weighted DVOA: -2.0% (17th) Buffalo has two divisional games against comparable teams, one in Miami, who they already beat, and one at home for the Jets, who they already lost to. I say they split those 2 and the Seattle game is the wild card one. The Seahawks have fallen flat in several games against...

Know your enemy: Seattle Seahawks

The Bills are playing the Seahawks in Toronto on Sunday. No one from Toronto to Syracuse really cares. The season is done. Meaningless football is a seasonal occurance just like leaves changing colors and snow hitting the ground. However, I still like doing Q&As with other bloggers who happen to cover a team that doesn't suck. So this week, we have Matthew over at Seattle...

Week 15 AFC East game picks: Seahawks at Bills

Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the Buffalo Bills' Toronto Series matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.Nick's take:It'll be fun to again see C.J. Spiller in the expanded role he deserves. However, the fact that the Bills are playing it what essentially amounts to a neutral site in Toronto eliminates Buffalo'...

Jim Harbaugh stumped by Patriots offense

Sunday Night Football will be an epic encounter between the New England Patriots number one ranked offense, and the San Francisco 49ers number two ranked defense. However, just because you have the best defense in the NFL, doesn't mean you have all the answers. When asked about how he can stop Tom Brady and his offense, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh admitted he didn't have...

Niners deliver late KO to win epic shootout

Jim Harbaugh might have learned more about his San Francisco 49ers during 20 minutes of sleepwalking than at any other time in his two years as their coach. His 49ers turned a nearly historic collapse into a stunning victory and a playoff berth. They withstood a 28-point comeback by the New England Patriots to win 41-34 on Sunday night in a showdown of NFL powers played in a chilling rain.
