Seattle Seahawks Claim Isiah Stanback Off Waivers

The Seattle Seahawks claimed former University of Washington quarterback Isiah Stanback off waivers from the New England Patriots on tuesday. Stanback was a fourth round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2007, drafted as a quarterback, he has since found his niche as receiver/athlete. He is the second Husky Pete Carroll has added this off season– He will be competing with fellow alum Reggie Williams for a spot on the roster at wide receiver. Stanback has five career receptions for 46 yards– He has a steep climb to make up the active roster competing with Ben Obamanu, Deon Butler, Mike Hass, the Williams duo, among others, for a spot behind TJ, Golden, and Deion.
