And with that one tweet, Terrell Owens has confirmed that he's been cut by the Seahawks. The 38-year old had two catches for 41 yards during Friday's preseason game against the Chiefs, but his recovery from a torn ACL just didn't appear to be going as well as expected. Owens was apparently competing for a job on the Seahawks roster with former Browns star Braylon Edwards, and the departure of Owens seems to indicate that Edwards will be a Seahawk this season.
In all honestly, the Owens/Edwards debate was a sideshow for Seattle. Neither was going to be the top wideout for the Seahawks, who return Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin, and Golden Tate.
