The Seattle Seahawks are not afraid to roll the dice. One year after giving Matt Flynn a long-term contract and then drafting Russell Wilson and inserting him as the starter, the Seahawks are once again raising eyebrows with personnel moves. This time around it involves signing a player that hasn’t played organized football in nearly ten years. Darren Fells, a 6-7 forward in basketball, signed a three-year deal to play for the Seahawks. He is the brother of Patriots Daniel Fells. Darren played basketball at UC-Irvine, and not football. He was an all-state tight end in high school Fullerton High School in California. What is suprising is that the Seahawks signed him to a three-year deal, which on the surface seems like a long-term committement to him. Of course, the team doesn’t have to honor the full length of a contract, as they can terminate it at anytime. That being said, it appears as if they are hoping to strike gold like the Chargers did with Antonio Gates, and the Chiefs did with Tony Gonzalez. Seattle was supposed to watch him at a pro day, but based on what they saw prior to that, they were impressed enough to offer [...]

Seattle Seahawks: 5 Biggest Questions Heading Into 2013 Offseason

The Seahawks finished the 2012 season as one of the NFL's hottest teams. With budding superstar Russell Wilson at quarterback, beast mode rusher Marshawn Lynch at running back, and a secondary boasting some of the best young talent in Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor, the Seahawks have quite a bit going for them heading into the 2013 offseason. The Seahawks also...

Seahawks expressing interest in free agent safety Charles Woodson

The Seahawks have the best defensive secondary in football and could be even better if they can add the services of safety Charles Woodson. Woodson’s agent Carl Poston confirmed the Seahawks have expressed interest in Woodson. “I talked to Charles Woodson yesterday and we’re discussing possible upcoming visits. There are a number of teams that have expressed interest in him...

Seattle Seahawks: Team Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft

As we continue the Team Needs series for the 2013 NFL Draft, we proceed to the team with the twenty-fifth overall pick; the Seattle Seahawks. After a remarkable season that saw Seattle become the darlings of the NFL, Seattle has to be considered an NFC favorite headed into 2013. The play of rookie quarterback Russell Wilson was a big part of both of the above reasons as he was arguably...

Richard Sherman unloads on Skip Bayless: ‘I’m better at life than you’ (Video)

Skip Bayless is easily one of the most hated television personalities in sports history, but Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman could very well hate him more than any athlete in America. We learned that on Thursday, when Sherman unloaded on Bayless and insulted him on multiple occasions during an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take.” Bayless repeatedly tried to bait Sherman...

Seahawks Richard Sherman Rips Skip Bayless On First Take, Calls Him “Ignorant, Pompous & Egotistical”

Seattle Seahawks All Pro cornerback Richard Sherman has caught some flak recently for going back and forth with Darrelle Revis, and just super cocky at times. Sherman can at least be looked at as a hero for the next couple of day.  Sherman was on ESPN’s First Take to discuss football, Revis, and his charity work with high school kids. Sherman and the programs controversial host...

Richard Sherman completely rips Skip Bayless on FIrst Take (Video)

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman appeared on ESPN’s First Take and completely ripped co-host Skip Bayless to his face during today’s show. Sherman took a page out of Terrell Suggs’ book and didn’t hold back at all from telling Bayless what he thinks of him and his opinions. I really give Sherman a lot of credit for staying calm while laying into Bayless. Below...

A Q&A about Matt Flynn

Like everyone under the sun in the (716), I've been doing a lot of thinking when it comes to the Bills QB issues. I'm all over the place with the subject matter. I know I want change, but the road on how to get there feels like a crossroad on a LA Expressway. Just too many intersections that don't exactly lead to promise.   In fact, I have a post brewing...
