The Seattle Seahawks were eliminated from post-season play on Sunday, losing 30-28 to the Atlanta Falcons. Seahawks fans however should not lament the loss, rather, be excited for the future. Despite receiving large amounts of skepticism over his draft choices in recent years, head coach Pete Carroll is assembling a highly talented roster filled with young players. QB Russell Wilson had a record setting season, throwing for 26 touchdowns as a rookie. He added another four with his feet. Wilson finished the season with a 100.0 passer rating and had the second highest passer rating at home, only Packers QB Aaron Rodgers had a better number.Russell has exceptional vision downfield and despite the knocks on his height, he rarely has balls batted down at the line. He finished the Falcons game throwing for 385 yards and two touchdowns, adding another on the ground. The future looks fantastic for Wilson going forward. Four players were named to the first-team NFL All-Pro team by the Associ...

Pete Carroll: What goes around comes around

Seahawks fans will continue to stand behind Pete Carroll as in their minds, no way did he cost the Seahawks the game by icing the kicker and calling a time out. With only 30 seconds remaining the defense should have been able to get the job done...

According to John Boyle of the Everett Herald, instead of cleaning out his locker today, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was watching film of yesterday’s loss to the Falcons. Wilson’s dedication to being great is exactly why he’ll be the Seahawks starting quarterback for the next ten-plus years.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script =...

Pete Carroll says the Seahawks need more pass rushers

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the media in his closing press conference that they need to add more pass rushers in the offseason. “We need another pass rusher,” Carroll said. “We really do. That’s why we went out and got Jason (Jones) last year. And we’re going to have to double it up. We need a couple of guys.” Bruce Irvin was a great draft pick, but...

NFL Bad Lip Reading is worthy of repeated viewings (VIDEO)

The fine folks at the YouTube channel Bad Lip Reading took on the NFL, and the results are hilarious. It’s gone viral and rightfully so, closing in on 1.4 million views in just over a day. Watch it and you’ll understand why it’s so glorious… I’m having a hard time deciding on my favorite part of the video. Pete Carroll’s anti-heroin PSA? Jim Harbaugh’s cake tantrum...

Falcons survive Seahawks

This game, the one over the weekend I looked forward to the most, was what I expected. Atlanta benefited from big home field advantage and the Falcons (NFL’s least penalized team) were only penalized for 11 yards. Seahawks looked jetlagged to start and fell behind 20-0 at halftime. Russell Wilson showed a little inexperience at the end of the first half as the Seahawks were unable...

After the interception, Atlanta proceeded to go 3 & out while Seattle kept scoring...
