In a season where the Seahawks exceeded most every expectation by winning their last five regular season games in a row, going 11-5 and winning a first round playoff game on the road, you might think there aren’t many items on the Seahawks’ “to-do” list before the 2013 season starts. After all, the Seahawks had the top scoring defense in 2012, one of the league’s best rushing attacks, and arguably the league’s top rookie signal caller in Russell Wilson, so the cupboards aren’t bare by any stretch of the imagination. However, as with any up-and-coming team that experiences a breakthrough season the way Seahawks did, there’s a lot of work to be done in order to build on the success and equip the team to handle the inevitable increase in expectations next season. So what are the goals that are bound to be on the New Year resolution list for John Schneider and Pete Carroll for 2013? Three of the top items that are bound to be at or near the top are listed here.

Seattle Seahawks 2013 Needs
When the Seahawks’ took Russell Wilson in the 3rd round, it wasn’t really criticized. That seemed to be a fitting range for him. However, then it was reported that GM John Schneider compared him to Drew Brees and “had to have him” because he felt he was one of the top-3 players he scouted in 2011, which sounded like hyperbole and maybe a little bit crazy. The Seahawks then...
