Last week: 25 (+1) Record: 0-1 That sound you just heard was Russell Wilson’s bandwagon hitting a pole. As I’ve said all along, Wilson is far more likely to go the way of Quincy Carter, Chris Weinke, and Kyle Orton than Andy Dalton (the only 4 non-1st round picks to start at quarterback week 1 as a rookie since 1994). It certainly doesn’t help that his offensive line and receiving corps are below average either. They’ll run the ball alright and play solid defense, but they’re going to have a hard time consistently winning games, especially on the road where they are now 11-32 since 2007. Studs SS Kam Chancellor: Allowed 3 completions for 21 yards on 6 attempts, 1 pass deflection, 6 solo tackles, 1 assist, 4 stops, and 1 missed tackle on 22 run snaps, 1 penalty LE Red Bryant: 1 solo tackle, 1 assist, and 1 stop on 18 run snaps, 2 quarterback pressures on 19 pass rush snaps, 2 batted passes DT Brandon Mebane: 5 solo tackles and 4 stops on 16 run snaps, 1 quarterback hit and 1 quarterb...

The Russell Wilson experience could be coming to an end in Seattle

Getty Images One of the biggest stories before the beginning of the season was how great Russell Wilson was. While Wilson was starting to get the hype like Tim Tebow did a year ago, things all changed drastically when the Seahawks were beaten by Arizona in week one. The Russell Wilson for President talks quickly quieted.  Wilson did not do that bad in week one against Arizona throwing...

Carroll laments Seattle's missed chances in loss

Of the 70 offensive plays the Seattle Seahawks ran against Arizona, more than half came in the Cardinals' half of the field. And that makes the Seahawks' 20-16 loss even more difficult for Carroll to accept. Seattle had plenty of chances, starting all the way back in the first quarter and ending when Russell Wilson's pass for Braylon Edwards at the goal line fell incomplete...

Russell Okung has a bone bruise

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Seattle Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung suffered a bone bruise during Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. Sounds like Russell Okung avoided major injury to his knee. Seattle Seahawks: Opening Day Identity Crisis

The Seattle Seahawks are a run, run, pass team. That's been the philosophy since Pete Carroll got to Seattle. Last year, it was more apparent, with Tarvaris Jackson as the quarterback.Jackson, obviously isn't an elite quarterback, and it's probably stretching calling him a good quarterback. So, Seattle had to pound the ball with Beast Mode, Marshawn Lynch. And, towards...

Seahawks hope penalty problems just 1 week issue

Pete Carroll spent most of last season dealing with the Seattle Seahawks' inordinate amount of penalties. There were 138 to be exact, a franchise record and the second most in the NFL last season. So with the penalty problem being a point of emphasis, what did the Seahawks do in the season opener at Arizona? They committed 13 more infractions, tied for the most in Week 1. ...

Kam Chancellor to play vs. 49ers

Strong safety Kam Chancellor is set to play for the Seattle Seahawks against San Francisco despite an ankle injury that limited him in practice this week. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after practice on Wednesday that Chancellor would be able to go against the 49ers on Thursday night. Chancellor suffered a minor elbow injury against New England, but it was a sore ankle that limited...

Will Russell Wilson be able to keep the starting spot in Seattle?

Associated Press When the Seattle Seahawks paid Matt Flynn that big contract earlier this year, no one would have expected it was to be a back up.  Flynn has been waiting to get in the game, because rookie Russell Wilson has unseated him as the teams starter, but can he keep the spot?  After yesterday’s performance Wilson did a decent job, but they couldn’t come way with the...

The "Pete Caroll for Arkansas head coach meme" exists, is stupid.

It was inevitable this was going to happen. Current Seattle Seahawks head football coach Pete Caroll was once a lowly graduate assistant at Arkansas in 1977. Things aren't going as planned in Seattle. Things aren't a barrel of monkeys back in Fayettville these days either, what with that messy Bobby Petrino stuff during the offseason. Worse, The Razorbacks lost to Louisiana...

Arizona Cardinals v Seattle Seahawks Rewind

I just want to again say thank you to a couple of people for hooking me up with tickets to the Cardinals v Seahawks game before I get into my recap. Thanks to@AZBirdgangMC for getting me in touch with @wildcard44 who was good enough to get me two lower level seats for the game. I had a blast and was able to take my dad with me, so it made it even more enjoyable as I was able to repay...

Rob Tobeck and Jack T want to talk business

ROB TOBECK, arguably the greatest Cougar center this side of Mel Hein, is six years removed from his memorable run with Seattle Seahawks yet he looks fit enough to suit up tomorrow. In fact, the other day when he demonstrated the blocking technique WSU tackle John Fullington used on the play that nullified the Jeff Tuel-to-Marquess Wilson TD pass at BYU, it was clear his biceps remain NFL ready.

Week 1 Fantasy Football Recap: Seahawks vs Cardinals

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona CardinalsARI 20 SEA 16Releasing a superstar, choosing a rookie quarterback over the man they paid and bringing on a receiver past his prime, doesn't really sound like a great way to go about an off-season. That's exactly what the Seahawks and Pete Caroll did this off-season. The story of the preseason and the most unexpected rookie starting quarterback...
