Last week: 24 (+7) Record: 2-1 Bogus win aside, do you really trust anyone on this offense aside from Marshawn Lynch? Their offense was stagnant all night on it took some blown calls to even get them into double digits. Russell Wilson was 9 of 20 for 106 yards and a touchdown before that late touchception. That’s not all him, his receiving corps and offensive line aren’t very good either, but that’s to be expected from a rookie quarterback, especially a 3rd round rookie quarterback. Their defense is the real deal, but the defense was the real deal last year too and they missed the playoffs at 7-9, despite the 7th ranked scoring defense in the league. They’ll probably end up with about 8 or 9 wins this year, but in a loaded NFC, I don’t think they’re well rounded enough to make the playoffs. They actually have a negative points per play differential. Studs LG Paul McQuistan: Did not allow a pressure on 28 pass block snaps, 1 penalty, run blocked for 8 yards on 1 attempt C Max Unger: ...

Marshawn Lynch Apologizes To Packers Fans For Winning Seattle Screwjob Game

While enjoying what is probably a routine post-victory meal at a Seattle steakhouse, Marshawn Lynch and his dinner party came to a realization. According to Yahoo! Sports, Lynch and his crew were surprised when a waitress put the TV on and showed replays of the now infamous Golden Tate touchdown “catch”. Reportedly, Lynch’s “eyes grew big and his jaw dropped low” as they...

Fantasy takeaway: Golden Tate, before the touchdown that wasn’t, became relevant last night

Last night, before the scene that ended the game, Golden Tate impressed against the Green Bay Packers. He's worth an add in your fantasy league. I’m disappointed that my first article in the wake of the Monday Night Football debacle is a fantasy piece ignoring the larger issue, but, my deadline is my deadline and I owe an article reflecting on my weekend picks. So, you’ll...

A collection of awesome tweets from Monday’s Packers/Seahawks fiasco

Any player/coach in Seattle that really thinks they won that game has zero integrity as a man and should be embarrassed.— TJ Lang (@TJLang70) September 25, 2012 The sports world is still in a huff over Monday night’s enema performed on the Green Bay Packers by the NFL replacement officials. While nothing topped the Twitter chloroform applied to the league by Green Bay’s...

10 reasons replacement officials are here to stay

Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks threw it and Golden Tate didn’t catch it. As it was stated on Twitter, Russell Wilson became the first quarterback to win the game with a game-ending interception. The NFL has come out and stated it should have been pass interference but the correct call was made and the final result will stand. The NFL is in complete chaos and while the...

Seahawks' challenge: Moving on from Monday

ST. LOUIS Pete Carroll, the moneybag in his hand, addressed the striped mammoth in the room first. "No, no," the Seattle Seahawks coach said Wednesday, when asked if he would give back a controversial victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. "We're fortunate we got a win under extreme circumstances, and we feel very fortunate that we got that done."...

League issues statement on Packers/Seahawks MNF refereeing calls

The NFL put out a press release today detailing Seahawks receiver Golden Tate’s 24-yard touchdown catch. Quote: In Monday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, Seattle faced a 4th-and-10 from the Green Bay 24 with eight seconds remaining in the game. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw a pass into the end zone. Several players...

NFL ref negotiations at a standstill

Despite the hideous aftermath of Monday night's prime time NFL debacle in Seattle -- a 14-12 Seahawks victory over the Green Bay Packers marred by the most controversial and questionable decisions yet by a replacement officiating crew - there is no good news regarding negotiations between the NFL and representatives of the locked-out NFL Referees Association. Both sides were...

Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks: Hero and Zero of the Game

Between last year's league MVP and this year's rookie star, many expected there to be fireworks in this Monday night matchup, but I don't think anyone expected this.Seahawks dominated the first half, mainly due to their defense holding the Packers to zero points in the first half. The second half was a different story as the Packers gained some momentum and starting moving...

Seahawks Win With Eight Sacks & A Gift From Officials

Perhaps the worst officiating weekend in NFL history culminated in a "successful" Hail Mary attempt by Seattle Monday night in their 14-12 defeat of Green Bay. To see all the officiating blunders, see my run down of the Sunday day games here. The final play was a Hail Mary pass. Green Bay rushed three players. At the last moment before being hit by Clay Matthews, Russell...

Statement on Packers-Seahawks play

The NFL has issued a statement on the final play of Monday night's Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks game.

We’ll Miss You NFL Replacement Referees

I’m still trying to comprehend how the last play of the Green Bay Packers/Seattle Seahawks Monday Night Football Game was not ruled an interception. I’m also still trying to figure out why Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson married this. Most of the world would agree that these replacement officials have been bad for the game of football. But let me tell you a little secret...

Arizona Cardinals: Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (#16)

Last week: 23 (+7) Record: 3-0 Like the Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch, do you really trust anyone on this offense other than Larry Fitzgerald? The defense is great, but I don’t think they’re well rounded enough to make the playoffs in a loaded NFC. They have a negative yards per play differential and rank tied for 30th in offensive yards per plays. 3-0 is impressive, especially...
