Good news for a couple undrafted FAs. They got the opportunity to try out for the Seahawks over the weekend and made it on the roster... for now. Head coach Pete Carroll said on Sunday that one player impressed him during mini-camp over the weekend, but he couldn't remember his name. “The kid from Idaho did a nice job. He did a nice job,” he said, reported PFT. His name is defensive end Benson Mayowa. The other signee was tight end Victor Marshall. In other news, the team released linebacker Ramon Buchanon, who was an undrfated free agent out of Miami (FL).

Jerod Johnson changed the way he throws, hopes he’s changed his chances to become Seahawks backup QB

He entered the 2010 college football season as the Preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and a candidate for the Heisman Trophy. A sports writer noted that Johnson 'struggled' with his accuracy and seemed to have lost some of the "zip" on his passes. He then lost his job to Ryan Tannehill, the 8th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. It was revealed a...

Seahawks add competition at long-snapper position, sign Adam Steiner off waivers

It's not a position you hear about often, but the Seattle Seahawks are apparently not too satisifed in what they have already. Long-snapper Adam Steiner signed with the Oakland Raiders as a rookie free agent, but was released on Tuesday. That's when Seattle swooped in to grab him off waivers and place him in a direct competition with Clint Gresham, the team's long-snapper...

2.30 Seattle Seahawks Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M (5-10, 220) With the thirtieth selection (62nd overall) in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select running back Christine Michael from Texas A&M.  According to Todd McShay of ESPN, Michael might be the most talented running back in the entire 2013 NFL Draft.  I’m not going to go that far...

2013 NFL Draft Team Grades: Seattle Seahawks

Second Round: Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M I think Michael is a great and underrated running back prospect. He could end up being one of the better backs from this draft class. However, why do they need him? Lynch is the starter, and Turin has proven to be a solid #2 option. I just don't see why they took him. Why not take a starting right tackle or a pass rushing...

Harper, Willson look to find roles with Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks already had a deep roster even before the NFL draft. For the 11 draft picks selected by Seattle, just finding a way onto the roster by the end of training camp will be tough. However, two of the Seahawks selections have already made an impression with coach Pete Carroll during the team's three-day rookie minicamp. Fourth-round receiver Chris Harper and...

Brandon Smith, who was signed after trying out at the Packers' rookie camp last weekend, hasn't played in a game since 2010. He spent last year transitioning from wide receiver to cornerback on the advice of Seattle coach Pete Carroll.

ICYMI…Richard Sherman gets to Seahawks rookie camp by way of jet ski

Jet Ski Adventures What may sound like a reality show in the making actually occurred this past weekend, as standout cornerback Richard Sherman decided to head over to the VMAC (Virginia Masoc Athletic Center) to check out how this years’ rookie camp was progressing. Now I know reality shows may be on their way out (or so I hope), but can’t you imagine the hilarity that would...

Richard Sherman Hires Ref Who Blew Call in Monday Night Seahawks-Packers Game to Umpire Charity Softball

Say what you will about Richard Sherman, but the outspoken cornerback has a sense of humor. Sherman hired Lance Easley to umpire his charity softball game on July 7, according to the event’s Facebook page. Easley, for those who don’t recall, is the NFL replacement referee who blew the simultaneous catch call in the Monday Night Football matchup between the Seahawks and Packers...

Replacement ref who called the Hail Mary TD in Seattle will be an ump at Richard Sherman’s softball game

It seems that Richard Sherman is still very appreciative of Lance Easley. You remember old Lance. He was the guy that said Golden Tate caught the ball and awarded the Seattle Seahawks with a Hail Mary touchdown to win the game over the Green Bay Packers. This was the catalyst that sent the NFL into overtime in their negotiations to strike a deal with the actual referees after fans...

Richard Sherman Cruises Into Seahawks Rookie Camp on Jet Ski (Photo)

With Pete Carroll at the helm in Seattle, nothing about the Seahawks really tends to surprise us anymore. But Richard Sherman riding up to Seahawks camp on a jet ski? The ever eccentric Sherman cruised along the waters of Lake Washington in his wave rider to make a special appearance at Seahawks rookie camp on Saturday. After...
