SEATTLE- 24 hours ago it looked like wide receiver Braylon Edwards was due to join forces with Chad Johnson in Miami. They would not have been Batman & Robin, but they would have at least given the Dolphins a credible duo to take the field with.

On Christmas Eve 2011, Braylon Edwards and his 49ers teammates went into Seattle and held off the Seahawks, improving their record to 12-3, and enhancing their odds at getting a first round playoff bye.
Three days after the game, in which he had one catch for nine yards in the second quarter, Edwards was cut by the 49ers.
It was a meek end to an equally meek run for one of...
The Miami Dolphins have already added veteran WR Chad Ochocinco-Johnson this offseason and it appears they could add another veteran prior to the start of the regular season. The Miami Herald is reporting that the Dolphins worked out veteran free agent Braylon Edwards last week in a private session. Edwards does come with some health issues, after languishing on the San Francisco...
Braylon Edwards has been one of the top free agents on the open market for months.

He worked out for the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins last week, but wasn’t immediately signed.
Some loose reports suggested the Dolphins were still legitimately interested.
Regardless of whether Miami was...

Edwards wasn't signed after a workout just before Seattle opened training camp last week, and then headed to South Florida for a tryout with the Dolphins. Braylon Edwards has finally found a home in the Emerald City as he has reportedly signed a one year deal with the Seattle Seahawks this morning. While his signing is certainly not as impactful as it would have been a few years ago, it does create a ripple effect around the league. Let’s take a closer look at the players whose values could be affected based on the signing:

The last two off-seasons have been eerily similar for Braylon Edwards as he found little interest last year before signing with the San Francisco 49ers and again this year few teams showed interest in...
Life is good. Players are hard at work on the practice fields, live Seahawks football will return to our televisions in a matter of days, the weather is perfect for barbecuing meat to perfection over hot coals1, and the training camp news from the VMAC is both encouraging and abundant. Maybe even too abundant – with reports coming in daily from the Seattle Times, the Tacoma...
Last week Braylon Edwards worked out with the Seahawks during the same workout as Antonio Bryant. It looks like that Seahawks liked what they saw enough to sign him to a contract. i
My man Dave Softy Mahler of Sportsradio 950 AM in Seattle tweeted it first.
Adam Schefter from ESPN has confirmed the deal.
Last year for the 49ers he caught 15 passes but was subsequently released...
