Rumor has been running wild this afternoon that the Seattle Seahawks would be announcing the release of former Pro-Bowl RB Shaun Alexander. The reason for the rumor, an email from the 'Hawks that there would be a 3:30pm EST press conference attended by Mike Holmgren and Tim Ruskell (both said to be unavailable for anything till after the NFL Draft. This would lead and did lead many to believe to the release of Alexander was coming. It wound up NOT to be the case, so what was the conference for?
