EMQB:
Are the Oakland Raiders so dysfunctional that they would guarantee $9 million to a kicker? Apparently so because the team offered Sebastian Janikowski a four-year, $16 million contract today—with $9M in the bank. This kind of contract makes sense if you’re working in the front office of the Oakland Raiders. But with the way kickers—good kickers—flake out from one year to the next, I wouldn’t guarantee Sebastian, or any other kicker, anywhere near this kind of money. And I don’t care that he’s coming off the best season of his 10-year NFL career. This just doesn’t sit well.
