Nice little piece today about how the Patriots are hosting former UW Quarterback Jake Locker for a two day visit.  The article includes a video of Tom Brady recounting his draft day experience where he slipped from a potential second round pick into the very end of the sixth round.

Check out the story here.

After watching the video, note how Brady was literally moved to tears thinking about the prospect of having to sell insurance for a living.  Long story short – he’s happier that didn’t end up happening.  Being a hall of fame NFL quarterback is cooler.  It’s just nice to see that he has the perspective to understand just how much worse his life would have been if he had not made it as a professional athlete.  Just thinking about the alternative actually makes him cry.

We can all return to our daily lives now… and live the reality that is Tom’s worst nightmare.
