Quarterback Seneca Wallace signed with the Saints on Monday, the team announced, five days after he was linked to the Raiders.
His deal is reportedly for one year. He’ll compete with Luke McCown to the backup to Drew Brees.
Wallace worked out for the Raiders last Wednesday and early reports indicated that he agreed to a deal with the team.
Those reports were later proven to be erroneous. Even though the team didn’t go through with signing Wallace, it was believed the Raiders would consider it down the road if he was still available. Translation: the Raiders think they can find somebody better out there.
