Charlotte, NC. Week 2 in the NFL was a big one for a lot of teams, as half the league was dealing with the potential of starting the season at 0-2. This was the exact situation for the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants, as both lost their week 1 contests. Carolina bounced back with a nice home win over New Orleans, and looked very much like the team everyone saw for much of last year. Cam Newton made some plays, the running game looked strong, and the defense harassed the Saints all day. For the New York Giants, it took a huge 4th quarter comeback against Tampa Bay to notch their first victory. It was looking like the Giants were going to fall to 0-2 for much of the day, but Eli Manning brought em back for a late game win. So heading into this Thursday, both teams are coming off wins, and both are looking at this game as one that may propel them as they head into the season. Although the Panthers and Giants both sit at 1-1, these two teams seem to be headed in very differen...

Carolina Panthers: Not just a fantasy in 2012

When the Carolina Panthers used the first overall pick of the 2o11 draft on Cam Newton, they expected him to perform immediately. Newton set the stats board on fire making fantasy owners ecstatic as he cruised to Rookie of the Year honors. The Panthers however; were hampered by the worst defensive line in the league and only managed to win 6, missing the playoffs for the third year...

Antrelle Rolle and Greg Olsen take out cameramen together

There was a scary moment towards the end of the New York Giants-Carolina Panthers game when Cam Newton's pass sailed over tight end Greg Olsen's head while he was being chased down by defensive back Antrelle Rolle. Both players rumbled into the sidelines taking down a couple of cameramen, respectively. Rolle tried jumping over a sitting photographer and caught his left...

Fantasy Football News: Don’t Panic on Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell

I see you reaching for the “drop” button, I am begging you don’t drop Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell. I know he was one of the most talked about waiver wire pickups by all the fantasy “experts”, and you bought into starting him this week, expecting a big game. I feel your pain, I started LaFell in every league I could get him in, and I was hoping for some production...

Panthers Q.B. Cam Newton Had A Giant Disappointment Against New York

The Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was pressured into submission against the Giants pass rush, Newton didn’t look like the Cam Newton the fans have come to know. Cam Newton only rushed for 6 yards on 6 attempts, if someone would have said Newton would average only one yard per rushing attempt, people would have thought  they needed a head examination. Cam Newton is a...

Fantasy Football News: Fantasy Owners Should Still Sit DeAngelo Williams Even With Jonathan Stewart Unlikely To Play

The Carolina Panthers may be primed for an upset over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football this evening. The Giants will enter play without Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw on offense, and they are coming off of a very difficult win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just four days ago. I am not saying that the Panthers had a cake walk over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but...

NY Giants Beat the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte

The defending Super Bowl champions took the ‘next man up’ concept to another level on Thursday night. Despite missing three key offensive starters...

The Best Moments From Giants-Panthers Thursday Night

It had been three years since the Carolina Panthers were featured in a primetime game. A young upstart team with designs on relevance, the Panthers seized the opportunity last night, only to immediately let it go because there was a bed that needed to be shat upon. Carolina was thoroughly decimated in all facets of the game. If the Panthers weren’t prohibitively behind by halftime...

New York Giants at Carolina Panthers NFL Week 3 Preview

Jim McIsaac/Getty Images Eli Manning threw for the eighth most yards in NFL history against the Bucs, but 510 yards passing is simply unheard of these days. That in itself sounds odd since this ha become a passing league where signal-callers throw for 350-plus yards passing every single week. After the year’s we saw from Manning, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers...

New York Giants’ Keys to Victory Against the Carolina Panthers

Written By: Kyle Newton (@KNewt22) The New York Giants have played poorly in two home games early in the year, and could easily be 0-2. The Giants should use their come from behind victory against the Buccaneers as a catalyst to get back on track. If the Giants can do at least 5 of these 7 things tonight than they will come out on top guaranteed.   What will the replacement refs...

Giants, Panthers set to put on show on Thursday Night Football

Manning and Newton should put up big numbers tonight. New York Giants (1-1) @ Carolina Panthers (1-1) Last week, Eli Manning and the Giants were down 27-13 in the third quarter. What did Manning do? Nothing much, just led his team on five scoring drives including two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter.  He finished with 510 yards, 3 TDs, and 3 INTs. Not too shabby.  Cam...

What We Learned From Last Night’s Giants/Panthers Game

Cee Lo Green Can Really Sing… For An Alien What the ****? Seriously, what the ****? I don’t get it at all. Why do they need a 300 pound midget little person yelling about how much he loves football? And if the opening 3 minute song wasn’t enough, every time they went to commercial break I had to deal with that little fat alien screaming at me. The entire NFL Network experience...
