Forbes recently ranked the 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world, and the Jacksonville Jaguars fell 47th on the list, but the team ranked dead last (32nd) in the NFL. Forbes estimated that the team is currently worth $725 million. Even though Shahid Khan paid $760 million for the team when he purchased the franchise in January, he still stands to gain big from the acquisition. All NFL teams are not created equal, but Shahid Khan got himself a deal when he purchased a coveted franchise for only $760 million, even if the team is currently valued at just $725 million. The NFL is still a growing brand, and it's hard to imagine any NFL teams dropping in value. While the Jaguars are a small market team, Northern Florida is a very attractive place to grow a brand, and it's a fact that Khan hopes to exploit in the coming years. The first step for Khan is to field a winning football team. The Jaguars have won just one playoff game over the past decade and appeared in ju...

“Jaguars source says, ‘third round draft pick, has around a 5 second hang time” The Jacksonville Jaguars made an interesting pick in the 2012 NFL Draft; at third round they picked a punter, some believe would have been available in later rounds (was the number one punter in the draft keep in mind). Expensive Scobee contract worth every penny

Kickers are the butt of far too many jokes at all levels of football, but if you don't have one, you're missing out. The Jaguars started the 2011 season with Matt Turk as their punter, and he was nothing short of a failure with the team. Nick Harris was called in to take Turk's job, and he did a pretty good job in fixing the Jaguars' punting problems. Place kickers...

The Jaguars waived place-kicker Brandon Coutu on Tuesday, one day after signing kicker Josh Scobee to a long-term deal. Coutu played in the final regular-season game for the Buffalo Bills last season. He missed his only field-goal attempt. The Jaguars signed Coutu in May, making him the team's kicker while they negotiated with Scobee. The Jags signed Scobee to a four...
