Pro Sports Daily:
Robert Griffin III
The Redskins are expected to take the field for Thursday's preseason opener at Buffalo minus three starters along the offensive line, but offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said he's not concerned about those injuries at this point in training camp. "It's part of camp. Yeah, we have three starters who aren't practicing right now. I'm hoping we'll get them back by Week 1, if not before," Shanahan said Wednesday. "It does help your overall depth, and you hope those starters come back healthy and don't miss a beat." Right tackle Jammal Brown remains the biggest concern as he deals with a hip injury. Shanahan said the positives are that Brown didn't need surgery and backup Tyler Polumbus has played well. Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger is expected to miss the entire preseason following arthroscopic knee surgery and right guard Chris Chester isn't expected to play against Buffalo due to a sprained ankle. "The starters d...

Hey it’s pre-season, so what it doesn’t matter to Robert Griffin III who threw for 70 yards and got his first NFL touchdown against another team. Griffin looked sharp as he moved his Redskins down the field in Buffalo. His stats were good (4-of-6, 70 yards, one touchdown, no interceptions, a 145.3 rating). Robert Griffin the III had a smile that was almost as wide as the goal...
Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis and left tackle Trent Williams are set to play for the first time since Dec. 4 in Thursday's preseason opener after they were suspended for the final four games of 2011 for failing multiple drug tests.
Asked if he's eager to face the Buffalo Bills, Williams chuckled and said, ''More than you know, man. I get tired of blocking...
TE Fred Davis
Players aren’t franchised two years in a row very often and Davis was franchised this offseason, but he does make sense as an exception. The tight end franchise tag value is still relatively cheap, the cheapest of any non-special teamer (5.4 million in 2012). The Redskins could franchise him for the 2nd time in 2013 at the rate of just 6.48 million, which is much...
Tonight is the night we've been waiting for since we heard NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell say back in April, "With the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select quarterback Robert Griffin III from Baylor University."
There has been a lot of talk, a lot of hype because all we've wanted to do since April is see the kid out on the field...
According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C., Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan has indicated that running back Evan Royster will get the start for Thursday’s game against the Bills.
This doesn’t come as a surprise, since Royster has been getting the first team reps throughout training camp so far.
The organized team meetings, non sanctioned team meetings, and the summer training camp have come and gone for the Washington Redskins. This coming week the 2012 NFL season will come full swing as the first preseason games of the year will commence. This preseason will be very big for the Redskins as they pull the bubble [...]
Sure, this loudmouthed character who goes by the moniker “RevRedskin” technically is not a man of the cloth in a traditional sense — although I love his robed garb — but few preachers ever have put the fear of God in me than this maniac has by way of this disturbing video where he espouses [...]
Washington Redskins rookie QB Robert Griffin III needed only three
passes on his third and final drive to show glimpses of stardom in
his much-anticipated NFL preseason debut Thursday night.
I'm ready for some football. Even though Redskins at Bills is a pretend game, it beats TV replays of games played between teams that are not the Washington Redskins.
Robert Griffin III is the most compelling personality of the rookie class. We have been comparing him to big signings of Redskins lore, but interest in this guy is beyond that. I don't believe that jersey sales...
Rookie Robert Griffin III makes his debut for the Washington Redskins tonight vs. the Buffalo Bills: the same team that humiliated the Washington offense in 2011, proving the need to chase RGIII. Here's a look at the ugly statistical side of Thursday's pre-season slate.
Handing out labels thanks to the Skins 7-6 preseason win over Buffalo, with a little help from my friends Matt Terl, JP Finlay and Jack Kogod.
Robert Griffin III – The only portion of this game I was able to watch was a flawless touchdown drive orchestrated with ease. So, yeah, winner. Terl’s two cents: “RG3 [is a winner], partially for doing solidly but mainly just...
…to start the preseason.
Tonight the Bills are hosting Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins in their first preseason game at 7 pm. The Buddy Nixon crew will be at the game doing our best to pump up what will be an understandably lukewarm preseason crowd. But don’t let 20,000 empty seats dampen your spirits, as the NFL regular season is just weeks away. We’re going...
